Seen At Play Nintendo Tour 2014

by Kyle Hilliard on Jul 06, 2014 at 01:32 PM

Nintendo recently announced a mobile tour of its video games and themed photo-ops traveling across the United States over the course of three months. The tour stopped by the Mall of America in Minnesota which isn't too far from Game Informer's offices, so I went and took a few photos.

Mario Kart 8 was set up with ongoing tournaments taking place on the gigantic screen you see above.

Kiosks and photo-ops were set up for The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds and the new Yoshi's Island among others.

Those are banana-shaped beanbag chairs honoring Donkey Kong. There was also a DK emblazoned barrel you could stand in for photos.

This was a line of sorts for people wanting to participate in the Mario Kart 8 tournaments. You could play Mario Kart 7 while you waited.

There was a 2DS Super Mario kiosk inside the green pipe, and an iconic level ending flag on the other side for photos.

For more photos, head to page two.

This photo-op let you finally place yourself inside your favorite 3DS game – the main menu.

Here's an overhead view of the action. You can see the gigantic Poké Ball photo-op on the left as well as few of the other kiosks.

Here's another aerial view. You can see the Kirby area in the upper right.

Here's a quick, seven-second video showing off some of the sights.

These posters were all over the place.
