Exploring Freedom In Games For The 4th Of July

by Tim Turi on Jul 04, 2014 at 04:00 AM

Today is the Fourth of July in America. This day commemorates the independence of our country, but we're abstracting the meaning of the holiday to reflect on what freedom means to us in video games.

The Game Informer staff has selected a variety of games that made us all truly feel free in our digital playgrounds, and we'll be posting articles about them all day. From MMOs to flight games, our choices cover a broad spectrum of titles that gave us that intoxicating sense of "I can go anywhere, I can do anything."

We also invite all you readers to discuss our choices in the comments as well as share your own selections. What games made you feel free?
