Why Ori And The Blind Forest Looks So Good And Why The Internet Is Awesome

There were a lot of games shown during Microsoft's E3 press conference, and one that might have slipped through your mental cracks was a new IP called Ori and the Blind Forest from Moon Studios. Described by the developers as a Metroid-vania, Ori looks gorgeous and was playable on the show floor at E3. I spoke with Ori's gameplay programmer David Clark about the long road of the game's development, the team's approach to a "virtual studio", and why the developers are overwhelmed by the Internet's reaction to their game.
