Replay – Final Fantasy X

by Kimberley Wallace on Mar 01, 2014 at 02:00 AM

Can you believe it's been nearly thirteen years since we first had the opportunity to listen to Tidus's story? In 2001, Square Enix released Final Fantasy X on the PlayStation 2, and it was a great way to show off the console's power with its cinematic cutscenes. It also brought us to the world of Spira, where a menacing force named Sin is threatening to destroy it. Our hero Tidus doesn't even know what he's in for when he meets spirit summoner Yuna and gets a glimpse of the cross she must bear as a spirit summoner. The budding romance between the two and their journey to help stop Sin provides a worthy pursuit to bring peace to the land.

With the Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster releasing on March 18 for PlayStation 3 and Vita, we thought it'd be a good time to step back in and see the game before the new enhancements. Join Andrew Reiner, Jeff Cork, Dan Ryckert, and myself as we reminisce on our experiences with it and Dan still tries to make sense of Sin. Later we continue the JRPG fandom and take a look at title that's sure to be a blast from the past.
