Full Breakdown Of All Fourteen Steam Machines

by Ben Reeves on Jan 07, 2014 at 04:41 PM

Yesterday Valve unveiled it's full list of fourteen Steam Machine partners, however, not each Steam Machine is created equal. Here's a deeper dive into what you can expect from each system.

Valve has taken a fairly hands off approach with it's hardware partners, allowing each one of design the specs as they see fit, which it why you see such a diverse range of systems with a price range varying from $500 to $6000. Before you pull out your credit card, it's probably best to make sure you know which system meets your gaming needs. Check out the breakdown of each system below.

Valve still hasn't announced a specific release date for the Steam OS, but some of the hardware manufactures we've talked to mentioned that their machines could be hitting the market as early as February (albeit with a beta version of Steam OS). This means that specific announcements about Steam Machine release dates could be right around the corner. Stay posted for that.
