Don't Be Such A Zombie, Play These Undead-Themed Mobile Games Instead!

by Katie Seville on Oct 31, 2013 at 12:21 PM

If you’re not out collecting candy tonight, than you're probably waiting for some trick-or-treaters to knock on your door. But there’s no need to sit there all night like a zombie, texting your friends about how bored you are, or how you’ve just seen a tiny Iron Man for the umpteenth time. Play these recently-released zombie games on your phone instead!

Dead Trigger 2 (Android 4.0 and up. iOS 7.0 and up. Compatible with iPhone, iPad,  and iPod touch.)
The sequel to the popular Dead Trigger, Madfinger Games’ Dead Trigger 2 promises to be even more entertaining. By joining the Global Resistance, you might just survive the undead hordes – so long as you’re armed to the teeth. Just recently released, Dead Trigger 2 boasts the most realistic graphics on this list, and you’ll be able to admire these as you explore its multiple locales. The game can be played with touch controls, and enhanced virtual joystick, or a gamepad. Dead Trigger 2 is available for download on Google Play and the iTunes Store.

Zombie! Zombie! Zombie! (iOS 5.0 and up. Compatible with iPad 2nd generation or later)
Perhaps the most child-friendly game on this list, Big Fish Games’ Zombie! Zombie! Zombie! is also entertaining for gamers of all ages. Like an apocalyptic version of connect-the-dots, draw connections between zombiezzz on the touchscreen to destroy them. With a survival mode and over fifty different ways to end the undead, this game is as fun as its title is enthusiastic. Zombie! Zombie! Zombie! is available for download in the iTunes Store.

Beyond the Dead (iOS 6.0 and up. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch)
Team up with other survivors to make your way in the post-apocalyptic world of Gree, Inc.’s Beyond the Dead. By finding and recruiting others, you stand a better chance of surviving both the zombie hordes and enemy humans. Together, you’ll explore the ruins of civilization, build and defend a sanctuary, and use more than four hundred different weapons to decimate your foes. Beyond the Dead launches today and is available for download in the iTunes Store.

The Incredible Corpse (iOS, Android)
Play as a heroic zombie fighting to save the planet from alien invaders in this humorous stealth-action title from Eyes Wide Games. The first chapter of The Incredible Corpse comes out in late-November and is free-to-download for iOS and Android devices. Chapters two through six go on sale for $4.99. On the game’s Kickstarter campaign page, Eyes Wide promises that the game is also free of “monetization tactics”.

We hope these games put some life in your night. Have a Happy Halloween!
