The lights are on
Mark Cerny's portfolio is filled with classic games like Marble Madness, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Crash Bandicoot, and more, making his development career one of the most renown in the industry. Sony tapped into Cerny's decades of experience when they asked him to be the system architect for their next console. Cerny has a deep understanding of cutting-edge technology but still has a passion for fun character-focused platformers; the action/platformer Knack is his first project as a creative director, and it launches along with the PlayStation 4 on November 15.
Watch the video below to hear Mark Cerny discuss and compare the days of Crash Bandicoot to his experience with the PS4, who he admires in the industry today, and what he plans on working on after the launch of both Knack and the console.
