The lights are on
Grand Theft Auto V isn't the only big release of the week. Today welcomes Rovio's Angry Birds Star Wars II on mobile platforms, and Nintendo's HD re-release of The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker on Wii U. This gorgeous version is only available for download at the moment, but is slated to hit retail shelves on October 4.
Dan Ryckert joined me for a comprehensive look at Wind Waker's first dungeon. We marvel at the visuals, and talk about how great Link's GameCube debut was – all while breaking the spacetime continuum (you'll see why in this Saturday's Replay). Dan thought he could complete this dungeon in no time flat, but his inability to kill centipedes quickly resulted in an extra-long episode. All apologies for not showing off the sailing segments.

It looks gorgeous!
So is this available today for download off the eShop or does it come out tomorrow?
I didn't think it was possible, but it looks more beautiful and artsy than ever before.
I can't wait for this to come to retail! So excited :)
When I get my wii u I have so much to play, I missed everything on the wii plus some of the stuff I'm seeing like this. Just holy crap.
Looks so good. Also, If link ever gets a voice, Dan has to write all his dialogue, "F*ck You Bat"-Dan/Link.
You gotta love these Test Chambers. Great episode guys
Definitely want this game. I almost want to go back to the GC version and beat that while I'm waiting.
Also, it sounds like there wasn't a whole lot of extra work to develop this game. This should offer more explanation: didyouknowgaming.com/.../the-legend-of-zelda-the-wind-waker
100% speed runs are a thing.
The game looks absolutely gorgeous and Dan is as dumb as ever.
One day in the future, I'll be getting a Wii U along with this HD version.
The thing I like about most video game critics is that they all pretty much play on every console as well as PC, so they're neutral and become excited, as well as speak positively of the games on each system. It seems like a lot of the people in comments sections across all game sites are bias due to having only one thing, or sometimes for those that this doesn't apply, love to play PC over anything else and can't accept a great console game, wishing only for it to be on PC. As for this game, it looks great. In time the Wii U will be worth buying, but not just yet.
