The lights are on
With Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 tied up in a relatively neat package, the team at Infinity Ward began the long trek of developing a brand new entry in the series. We visited the studio for this month's cover story and spoke with executive producer Mark Rubin about the history of the game that eventually became Call of Duty: Ghosts. What started out as a few notecards about dogs and the apocalypse is now months away from a gigantic release and we hope that the video feature will help explain the process. You may have been confused about the recent story trailer that shows astronauts with guns, so Rubin also adds some more context of the story in Ghosts.
Watch the video below to learn why the team didn't make Modern Warfare 4 and what makes Ghosts feel narratively distinct from previous entries.

the a.i is always terrible.
You heard it here folks: Call of the Duty is just like Zelda.
Also, great job Mr Helgeson on the very ambient music track
Ghosts is gonna be great. I've always enjoyed the single-player campaigns and a new story is just what the title needs. Btw to hell with the franchise fatigue stuff. People are going to still buy the game and play multiplayer, with all it's good old mechanics and things. I kinda just see the MP side of Ghosts as more DLC.
I just got back into the story mode of Call of Duty Black Ops 2. It isnt bad so far but I think I will probably finish it this weekend because it really isnt very long. I am really looking forward to seeing what this one is going to bring, plus the online looks great.
The cover photo for this article looked so realistic I had to look twice. Graphics have come a long way...
I haven't played a Call of Duty game since Modern Warfare 2, but I'm interested in this one mostly because it'll be released on the Wii U. It's mostly optimism, but I'd like to think that the vitriolic community that follows the series wouldn't bother switching to a "kiddy" console, which means the the Ghosts community on the Wii U will probably be tolerable - maybe even sportsmanlike!
GI. I swear, you're starting to look like you're slaves to Activision.
Rockstar and Infinity Ward really suck at replicating Santa Monica pier... you can see it in this video for a split second.
Honestly a lot of people are bashing COD Ghosts and Activision with all the talk about the franchise getting stale and worn out but that's the reason behind Ghosts to bring something new to the table come on its a FPS pretty sure every FPS from the Medal or Honor franchise to the Killzone franchise from N64 to Ps4 has one steadfast and common goal to allow people to shoot bad guys idc what game it is on what system or what your killing be it zombies, Russians, or monsters the fact remains your killing something so why gripe and complain if it has solid mechanic's and at least a decent story behind it don't bash it YOUR STILL KILLING SOMETHING at least this time its Colombians instead of Russian's
