The lights are on
A few months ago we asked readers what the most important factor is when choosing a next-gen system. While some pointed to feature sets and price tags, most players were interested in a sole and unsurprising concern: the games. Here are some of their responses.
What do you consider the most important factor when choosing a next-gen console? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

1.Price but this is obvious
2.Games and this coming gen looks like its gonna actually have games worth playing right from the get go even if most of them are also on current gen stuff.
And if I consider those two options I gotta go with the PS4..
Games and price. The rest is personally irrelevant.
I choose the one that chooses me. PS4 is a gamers machine. PS4 wins my money.
Hopefully my paper issue will come shortly. It usually does about now.
GAMES! What more important reason is there to get a console in the first place if not games!?
Playstation 4 all the way and my decision is a combination of price, quality, exclusives, graphics and trustworthiness.
Killer Instinct is the only game I was interested in until they revealed their price gimmick, Microsoft is not trustworthy and kinda silly they left Double Helix in charge of the KI reboot instead of Rare, ohhhh Rare you have lost it.
Rare's acquisition is Microsofts biggest mistake. Im purchasing 2 Ps4s day one
Bye bye M$...You have destroyed what little respect I once had for you. You have crushed me with you're manipulative lies and dishonesty. Now I take a stroll with Sony to see if the grass is greener on the other side. If not...so be it. I would rather take my chances and fail, than get kicked in the teeth by you again. You have no morals. Greed will be your downfall.
Besides games, backwards compatibility is something I really want, but alas I have accepted that that is not to be. I was a PC gamer for many years before I decided to jump ship to the Xbox 360 when my gaming rig died several years ago. In the last few months I recently got a job where I build custom designed PC's for business and medical use. It's a pretty easy thing to do and I've decided to build my own PC instead of dealing with next gen consoles. Comparative price, cheaper games, Steam and GOG and backwards compatibility. Sounds win-win all around.
I may get a next gen system some day, but not until prices drop.
The Games, I think a console should be a game machine. I don't want to check my email, watch YouTube or surf the web with it. I have other electronics for that. Give me great graphics with no lag. I'm from the pong-asteroids-packman era. When consoles just played games.
I have to agree. Games over everything else that a GAMING console has to offer. Especially when looking at exclusives. I was a 360 fan this generation. Next Gen? Let's see what you got, Sony!
I go with whatever Dan Ryckert chooses, that is always the best choice.
