The lights are on
Next year is a pivotal one for the Madden franchise. Madden NFL 15 – or whatever EA Sports decides to call it – represents a full year away from this November's console transition and could determine the direction for the series in the coming years. Here are some of the things we'd like to see.
This list is by no means exhaustive and doesn't cover the obvious bug fixes, but we'd like to see these issues addressed or implemented. While I have a feeling that Madden NFL 25 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 won't solve a lot of these problems, it will be interesting to see in the coming years how the new systems' extra horsepower tries to address some of these issues.
If you have any suggestions of your own, please post them in the comments section below. You can also check out my review for more.

Agree with all. Maybe they'll listen like Microsoft did lol. Take notes EA....
I really miss the 2k/ESPN series. I gave Madden a shot in 2010, and it was closer, but still felt like it was missing something.
I was going to check this version out, but even my serious Madden friends have told me not to bother.
My wishlist would be as follows:
-I wish they would make Madden 25 better.
I want to see different referee characters. Anyone notice that its been the same exact one for the past years?
They REALLY need to get rid of the canned animations. It ruins these games when the animation is game breaking. Get hit by a defender from infront and you fall forward 5 yards. They have this physics engine that is barely used, not even regular tackles use it!
Improved AI all around. That's the major thing I've been hoping would happen for the last five years or so.
Couldn't agree more with this list, especially the gameplay/AI problems. I sure hope EA Tiburon can pull it off. It would be a shame to see some of these issues, which have been around since the PS2 days, linger in to the next-gen versions.
Bring back the mini camp.
This is a great list
EA should release patches and rosters between multi-year development cycles, ala Borderlands, instead of giving us the same product with a tweak here and there... I doubt there's any way they turn do anything truly groundbreaking or forward thinking without competition. I always preferred Madden, but at least having the 2k series around kept EA honest.
After having every EA pro football game, I might be done keeping up the streak since the minimal changes year in year out only warrant a $20 DLC package, not a $60 re-package. If only the entire Madden community would organize to make themselves heard .. but without a true consumer strike... we're stuck with EA's regurgitated cash cow.
I would like the ultimate team to become a mix of madden 12 and madden 13. Went I got my hands on madden 25 I was thoroughly dissatisfied, because of the ultimate team in one year it just got completely destroyed. They need to bring back the all pro and legendary packs. And being allowed to see ur opponents lineup before u get in the game otherwise u lose because ur outmatched.
This list always seems the same, year after year.
How about adding
Monday Night Football, Sunday Night Football, and Thursday NF licenses so they can have the overlays and music for each.
More broadcasting teams would be awesome too.
ESPN, Fox, NBC, licenses for those additional broadcast teams(they've clearly made enough money over the last 25 years to do this for the fans who buy the game every year)
More dynamic crowd reactions and noise.
In game breakaway highlights (they did this one year).
End game highlights like they do in NCAA14.
Weekly wrap ups
Dynamic weather that can worsen or get better during the game.
Just make it like we're watching an actual NFL broadcast while we're playing the game.
I would love to see more depth for incoming draft classes, especially the ones I import and once played with in NCAA. Such as stats and who won what awards that way I know who the best players really were instead of whoever the computer randomly chooses to be the best in order to keep it fresh. Maybe even show who played in and led their team to a national title or bowl game victory. It would also be nice to play the senior bowl, like back in the day, so you can get a feel for the players you might draft.
Madden could use some in game saves like that of the NBA2K series and faster menu screens is a must.
overall the NBA2K series feels more alive than madden does during its equivalent mode to connected franchise. Madden is catching up by bringing back the news feed and throwing in a twitter feed, but i love in NBA2K how players moods can change based on their role and playing time and that can affect their rating and willingness to resign their contract; I think madden could use a system similar to that.
Also, I don't understand why in connected franchise I cant be a player, coach, or owner of the same team. Pre-launch i was really looking forward to be the coach and owner of the Steelers so I could continue that dynasty by having complete control of the franchise, and dominate the league, yet once i choose to be the coach I cant choose any other role on that same team; change that!
Hopefully with next gen EA makes huge strides with madden.
