The lights are on
Diablo III releases on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 today, finally giving console gamers a taste of Blizzard's dungeon-crawling masterpiece. Join the GI crew as they take the new couch co-op mode for a spin and discuss the changes Blizzard has implemented for controller-friendly adventuring.
Andrew Reiner and Jason Oestreicher watch on as PC editor Adam Biessener and I smash our way through Diablo III's first dungeon. I take on the role of a spider jaw-spewing witch doctor, while Adam channels his inner female barbarian. It doesn't take long for Adam to start peddling his PC propaganda, but at the end of the day, we overcome our platform preferences to slay a bunch nasty-looking corpses and skeletons. Now that's team work!
Diablo III is now available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. For more on the game, read our review.

Looking forward to getting this once my brother and I decide on what PS3 package to get.
Jay Wilson'd again. Never forget.
I would love controller support on the PC version. I'm a huge fan of taking my gaming laptop with me when I travel, and when I get the chance, a controller makes everything a heck of a lot easier. Plus, my Nvidia Shield comes tomorrow =D
Ugh. Every time i hear somebody talk about PC vs console i want to set my PC on fire. Its almost as bad as the morons that get into heated debates about dragons/wyverns/drakes. Almost.
Barbarian just because I love melee combat!
I'm glad it transferred to consoles so well.
Cleave is so much better than Bash! Why hit only one enemy at a time when you can hut multiple enemies?
I love Diablo III on PC (it was easily my favorite game of last year, weak year for gaming though it was). I'm not sure I feel the need to rebuy the game again on console just for a different play experience, though, especially since I plan on upgrading to next-gen consoles in a few months and won't be able to play my Xbox 360 games anymore.
I picked this up today for the 360. The dungeon crawler is one of my favorite genres. I'm at level 5 and the game is fantastic so far. I named my female barbarian Penelope.
I've been burnt out on this game for months. Can't see going through it for the 100th time on an inferior version. It's awesome it's available on consoles for those who don't PC game though.
I will be getting it for the PS3 since I won't be upgrading to next gen anytime soon.
Just ordered it from Amazon, I can't wait to play it!
