The lights are on
"Cel shading" is a term that's been tossed around frequently for over a decade, but gamers in the 90s had never heard of the unique graphical style. With the 2000 release of Jet Grind Radio, the style that would go on to be used in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and many more games was popularized.
How does the goofy, graffiti-stained title hold up thirteen years later? Check it out below in the new episode of Replay, complete with a Roulette segment that some of our bigger fans have been calling for for quite some time.

Watching you guys play Illbleed reminded me of another horror game Michigan: Report from Hell. I don't remember much about it but I think I enjoyed it as I did Illbleed.
Have any of you played it?
they mentioned the soldiers who didn't know WW2 was over in the Blue Stinger Replay too.
Guess these games are really similar.
Been playing this on Vita.
I played through the game you did as a roulette once. It's not so bad as long as you ACTUALLY read through the manual first BEFORE playing (I have the patience) and then, once the game is started, head to the graveyard to get some instructions on using the Horror Monitor. I was able to master detecting traps and enemies with it, and the only real threat was the combat (it's really bad). Please heed my advise and don't just rush in to it right off the bat (no pun intended).
YAY! More Dreamcast replays please.
I want to see more of the roulette game! I think it could be a really good SR but I dont know if Tim could make it through that game, we will have to wait and see.
You do tricks in jet grind just by jumping. That's it. All you had to do was move faster than a baby snail. I love that game and grinding for over 100 tricks in a row is easy because levels are laid out where grind rails flow everywhere and you easily magnetize to them. It's more a platformer than tony hawk's trick and combo system.
Illbleed looks AMAZING haha. From the speech basically condoning severe child abuse in the opening minutes to Randy Fairbanks and the hilarious really bright lightbulb. This would make an awesome Super Replay.
The roulette was glorious and I really want to see a super replay of that game if only to hear the sounds of Tim's unbridled rage
The only way the Illbleed super replay could be made even better is if it's recorded at night in Hanson's haunted cabin.
One of my all time favorites.
You guys have to do Illbleed! That would be the greatest super replay ever I'm calling right now, and do it with the blue stinger cast too please. Tim can handle anything!! Great episode really like the longer episodes you guys have been doing lately. Keep it up.
you must use the the items to survive in Illbleed!
I hate Jet Set
falling down is easily his best film. classic stuff right there
