The lights are on
Many gamers in their late 20s or early 30s grew on a steady diet of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoons, movies, and video games. I fall into that camp, and have always been willing to welcome the heroes in half-shells back in any form if it was handled correctly. Unfortunately, TMNT: Out of the Shadows manages to handle everything about as poorly as a video game possibly can.
While we didn't run into any of the major game-breaking glitches that I've seen multiple times over during my current playthrough, you can see some of the mediocrity on display in our new episode of Test Chamber. Watch below to see Jason Oestreicher, Tim Turi, and myself ruin our childhoods.

This looks terrible, I'll be taking a pass on it for sure.
Well, I, for one, am glad that the summer arcade BS on Xbox is over. Now it's time for good games to release. I've been waiting for far too long.
Man the summer of arcade games were a let down this year huh? I thought for sure Flashback would be a must own. Wasn't expecting much from TMNT, but ugh, even my fandom for it can't look past what I just saw.
Wow, well this is certain a game. Very bummed this is that bad. Well thanks for barreling through it on Test Chamber.
Yeah, using the 'ruin your childhood' line pretty much tells me you have no business commenting on any games in any kind of professional or semi-professional level.
woof....I know its my fault, but I had great expectations for this! >_< oh well, at least their new show is awesome
looks terrible. always enjoy test chamber, but the people want more joe v Tyson; it's been weeks, get on with it already.
Huh, I've seen pretty positive reviews for this game so far...NOW I DONT KNOW WHAT TO BELIEVE!!
so glad we agree that Donatello is the best...this game on the other hand, although glitchy could be given another look. a lot of the "nostalgia games" from our childhood dont play well either but we tolerated it for what it was. maybe this can be the same if you guys werent game editors and werent so critical. however i only saw this 20 minutes as opposed to however long you guys played so ill just take your word for it
This looks absolutely terrible.
People just don't like how slow the combat is which is understandable but to me it feels awesome. Every button press has to be deliberate and it does not allow mashing. But this game definitely has major flaws.
Nice test chamber. Definitely not the greatest. I do have to agree with some people. I thought that they nit picked a little. I mean I'm not sayings ts the greatest, but saying its one of the worst games you've played? That's questionable. Plus, instead of the laugh, it was just constant complaining. I'm sorry, but I'm here to see games with editors who usually make me laugh. My laughter was scarce in this test chamber. At the same time though, I don't blame them. I mean if they would've for say recreate a show I like watching, I want the game to be good. If its mediocre or not what I wanted, I would be disappointed. Though its unfair to say it ruined your childhood. Sorry but its true. Anyways, hope for a better Test chamber. More laughs/funny moment= Great Test chamber, hearing 3 guys complain so much in 21 minutes=disappointment. Better luck next time!
P.S This is only on xbox live?
Graphically speaking, this is the Dolan of turtle games.
AS a fan of the Turtles since time began(At least since time started for me) I was excited for this. And I am also a fan of this game. It is nothing they didn't tell you about. For $15 it is definitely an enjoyable experience. Hopefully they have the ability to make a smoother, bigger experience for a sequel(Here's hoping) and more people will appreciate it.
Leo is the best turtle. Other opinions are invalid, lol.
AH! Those character models look STUPID!!!! The gameplay even worse! What were they thinking??? Really?! They should've just left our awesome memories of the TMNT alone! Thanks for the test chamber as always, TURTLE POWER for everyone who knows the turtles we grew up with are the best and forever will always be. Later dudes!
Throw these stupid looking turtles down the drain pipe.
What an awful game, the only thing that seemed good was the music although slightly repetitive after a while.
This game looks so horrible.
