The lights are on
Some longtime gamers may have memories of the Tecmo's Deception series, but not many recall its Playstation 2 entry Trapt. When Reiner showed me the box and told me it would be a good Super Replay candidate, I honestly had no idea what it was. By the end of the first episode, I realized that I was in for a novel experience involving torturing dozens of foes as they attempted to invade my castle.
We'll be updating this Super Replay on Sundays and Thursdays until Trapt is complete. Watch below and let us know your thoughts in the comments!

Didn't know what to think of this at first, because of the Japanese voiceovers, but this is cool. Someone needs to be launched through a window by the time this Super Replay ends. It's a good thing you avoided Phil's special attack, where he sneaks over when you're distracted and gives an awkward shoulder massage.
this game was awesome. maybe you can shoot an arrow through the other candle to light the opposite one.
Oh thank god! I was starting to get ticks and twitches from lack of Super Replay - I needed my fix! It's been too long since the last one I watched all the way through. I don't really care about good games, or games that are well known, or games that I played, so I couldn't force myself to watch Luigi's Mansion for more than 2 episodes. I need to see stuff like this!
I never played TRAPT, but I remember seeing pics of it in gaming magazines years ago and getting it confused with Capcom's NON-Resident Evil horror games, Clock Tower 3 and Haunting Ground. 2 games I did actually play. And both would make for great Super Replays in the future too! I know TRAPT plays nothing like them though, so I can't wait to check this out on Youtube!
A wild Super Replay appeared!
I hope someone brought a master ball...wait.
It already trapt, so we don't need to do anything...except enjoy it!
I had no idea this game exist, let alone a series of them spanning a couple consoles. I feel like I definitely missed out. Looks like a blast and the idea of having to use traps and the environment for combat looks like a lot of fun. This choice of game for SR seems out of left field but I'm glad Reiner picked it. Dan seems to be having fun with it also.
Thank you for the extra long episode!
I appreciate accidental gifts like these!
I suddenly remember seeing Reiner's review in a GI copy I have! Most hilarious screencap it did have!
And I'm with you Kim with the innocence white stuff (since I'm an English major and all).
Also, a masochist likes being in pain, not giving it.
Overall, great episode. I didn't know what to expect but now I see why it was chosen. Can't wait to see more.
I'd never heard of this game, though I've heard of the Deception series. Tecmo probably should have kept the series' name intact for this game.
Never heard of the game, but as soon as I watched the girl, it was obvious it was a Tecmo game.
This game is awesome. I've never even heard of it before. This is why I love Replay.
Couldn't be happier about this. Great game for a super replay and a great first episode!
"Some longtime gamers may have memories of the Tecmo's Deception series" Man this quote is making me feel old! Deception was from the PSOne era and just reminds me how much time has gone by since then.
I love when Dan does a Super Replay, my spleen aches from laughing so hard
I loved this game back in the day!!!
This is an incredible pick!
The greatest thing...
Oh my god, i need to buy this game IMMEDIATELY!
This game seems downright fun. Does it merit better than a 6.75 in retrospect?
