The lights are on
When Nintendo announced the next Super Smash Bros. during E3 2013, a lot of the buzz centered on the announcement of Mega Man, Animal Crossing's Villager, and the Wii Fit Trainer as playable characters. The multiple videos that Nintendo released for the upcoming Wii U and 3DS games also quietly revealed several new stages. We've scoured through the videos released so far and have compiled a list of the stages that you'll be fighting on in the Wii U and 3DS versions of the next Super Smash Bros.
Battlefield - Wii U
At first glance this arena looks like something from Kid Icarus or The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, but the classic layout of the thee platforms means that this stage is most likely the Wii U version of the recurring Battlefield arena. Introduced in Super Smash Bros. Melee, the next iteration of the Battlefield stage includes the same day/night cycle as its predecessor in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
Smashville - Animal Crossing
Also returning from Super Smash Bros. Brawl is the Animal Crossing-themed stage called Smashville. The new version of the level shows more of the village at once and also rotates to show the town from Animal Crossing: City Folk.
Skyloft - The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
In a move that we guessed would happen a while back with our Smash Bros. wish list, Nintendo has included Link's hometown from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. While the hovering platforms are ideal for ring-outs, it's odd to see that the Link model for the next Super Smash Bros. more closely resembles his darker look from Twilight Princess. Maybe the character model is a hint of where Nintendo is taking the art of the next Zelda for Wii U.
This stage that resembles the Final Destination design from previous entries is decorated with generic Smash Bros. logos, but it could be an homage to the boxing ring from the Punch-Out series. The giant screen in the background showing the match is also similar to previous Pokemon Gym stages.
Dr. Wily's Fortress - Mega Man Series
In the past, third-party characters like Solid Snake and Sonic the Hedgehog have had one stage from their respective world. In the next Super Smash Bros., Mega Man has Dr. Wily's Fortress. The videos show a varying erratic track drawn out for a moving platform to follow that adds a dynamic element to the new stage.
"The Yoga Studio" - Wii Fit
Hidden away at the tail end of a video is a glimpse of the stage based on Wii Fit that goes along with the Wii Fit Trainer as a playable character. A dancing Wii Fit board can be seen on the left, and we'd be surprised if the stage didn't force players to mimic certain exercises similar to the WarioWare level from Brawl.

i would like to see final destination on this,it was my fav. stage in brawl, and i would love to see it again
Looks so hype.
Can't wait for these games, they're gonna be awesome! I wasn't so sure about SSB on the 3DS, but I'm willing to give it a whirl.
On another note, I'm glad that Nintendo didn't switch Link's voice to the one he had in Skyward Sword. THE HORROR.
All of these seem like great maps, cant wait to start knockin people off them!
Nooooo why can't they put Gerudo Valley in the Wii U version also? Dat song...
The 3DS stages are looking better than the Wii U ones, in my opinion.
I wonder if they would let anybody go from the smash bro roster. And If they did let anybody go, who they replace them with?
if this was doesnt have corneria in it then i will not be getting this game, it's was the best map in brawl and melee and 2nd best in the original to hyrule
I don't have a 3ds. But the wiiu stages look amazing.
I might get both versions then if they are gonna be so different.
Final Destination was always my favorite stage to decide who was better. me and by brother spend hours of our life doing 1 vs 1 battles there.
