The lights are on
Fans of Retro Studios have been waiting a long time to hear about the next project from the talented team in Austin, Texas. At E3 2013, Nintendo unveiled that the next title from Retro will be a sequel to 2010's excellent Donkey Kong Country Returns and it will be called Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze.
Watch the video below to hear Nintendo's David Young explain the basic premise for the game and what Retro is adding to the Donkey Kong Country formula.

This is guy is beating all the Sony and Microsoft spokespeople. He kidnapped Ben Hanson for the day and tried to talk up water levels. Give that man a raise
I will definitely pick this up but I think Retro needs to reveal their next project to the loyal Nintendo fans. These E3 games have all come out not that long ago on other platforms except for Smash Bros. We need a new Metroid or Star Fox but a new IP would be even better.
I had considered replaying Country Returns with my brother, and now I have reason to! This game is going to be awesome!
I will probabl;y play it without the hearts.. it just weirds me out, seeing those up there.
I just hope it introduces a lot of new elements of gameplay and it's not just all the elements from DKC Returns again.
DKCR was one of my favorite games on the Wii, and while I would love to see Retro revive another old IP, I'll be waiting for this one with bated breath.
I get that people are disappointed with the project which i understand, but this game still looks fantastic! DKCR is one of my all time favorite platformers so a sequel is pretty welcome.
If only someone tells Retro to get on a DK 64 sequel. Then and only then can they go back and make Metroid Prime 4.
This game looks awesome!!
DKCR was my 2010 GOTY, so definitely looking forward to this. Still wish it was a metroid though...
Well, I am excited for this game! Perhaps this could be one of the first games I purchase for the Wii U. When I get the Wii U, that is.
