The lights are on
EA started its press conference with a clever twist that revealed the next game from Popcap and continued to impress from that point on. From a tease for Star Wars: Battlefront to a new Mirror's Edge game from DICE, there was a lot to digest in this year's press conference from Electronic Arts. There was a lot of great games at EA's press conference this year.
Despite It's short appearance, I think Battlefront was the Best thing there!
I'm still recovering from Sony and KH3.
EA's conference was good too. The Star Wars Battlefront and Mirror's Edge announcement the icing on the cake. And even though the BF4 64 player demo had forced dialogue I couldn't take my eyes off the screen. The Land, Sea and Air combat was very impressive. I'm not a huge Battlefield player(having played Bad Company and the BF3 Beta and getting my a@# handed to me online) I was curious about the gameplay. Running at 60fps on these newer consoles really impressed me. Dragon Age: Inquistion I don't really care too much for, but the trailer was good. And Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare was also impressive. The EA Sports Ignite engine looked solid. But, NBA Live 14 has a way to go before it can take on 2k14. UFC looked and sounded like it was overhyped, but, the physics and human intelligence in that and in Madden 25 blew me away. Fifa 14 looks good, but it's only a matter of time before that game gets old. I'm surprised that there wasn't a NHL title for the newer systems as well. I agree for a company that people hate EA did save face with their conference and weren't digging up sequels for sequels sake. Need for Speed Rivals was interesting and way better than the Need for Speed: The Run. And with the show-stopping gameplay of Titanfall, EA came through swinging. So, yeah I liked their conference.
This year in general so far has ha some of the greatest announcements I've seen. From Titanfall to Battlefront 3 to Kingdom Hearts 3. Even if you don't like the games you can't deny that some of the most anticipated (and surprising) announcements have been made.
I thought, for the worst company in the world, EA did quite alright actually. ;-)
EA surprised me with a solid conference. Battefront, Dragon Age, and Mirror's Edge were all standout titles.
What a lineup of top-notch games in development; way to go EA. ^_^
I would like to see a video review of the Sony and Microsoft press conferences.
The mandatory high fives and fist bumps in these videos are the best damn thing.
That does it. I'm done with gameinformer.
I'm sick of the same damn commercial over and over and over with every crappy little video they post.
