The lights are on
In addition to taking the leap to the next console generation, the developers at Sucker Punch Productions are exploring within the Infamous universe by putting players in charge of a new protagonist named Delsin Rowe. Armed with smoke-controlling powers in the open-world environment of Seattle, Delsin's introduction to players is assisted by Sucker Punch's new designer (formerly of Bungie) named Jaime Griesemer.

What will smoke be able to do? Seems cool, but bad for mechanics...
the number of weed jokes in this thread IS TOO DAMN HIGH
I enjoyed both Infamous games and I'm sure I'll like this too, especially given that it'll involve running around and tearing up my own local area of Seattle. Unfortunately, I still don't know if the PS4 itself is worth getting at launch, so Second Son may be a while off for me.
I am very excited for next gen, and it seems (so far) that Sony has really taken their lackluster (6 games?) software lineup at PS3 launch to heart.
Here's to having plenty of games to play on my PS4 this holiday!
I really don't like the look of the new character. Sad Cole had to die. I'm hoping they change the character look into someone else. Regardless going to buy the game either way! Love the InFamous series!!
So Delsin's conduit power is absorbing other powers? That's normally a pretty lame cop-out omnipotent power in comics and stuff, but from a playable standpoint, that opens up a lot more area for varied powers and stuff that Cole only briefly glanced with the power-transfer-machine in 2.
sooooo...he's capable of horizontal gene transfer?
That's right Sucker Punch, take time and pride in work, and deliver us an epic game.
"Honor their choice" ... by completely disregarding everyone elses. Seems legit, but who am I to complain? I am extremely stoked for the new protagonist! I wouldn't mind seeing a new protagonist for every entry in the series from here on out.
Cool. I'm looking forward to next month's mag.
*Spoilers* So Cole is actually dead huh? Kinda sad, I really thought that lightning bolt at the end of the 'good ending' was a tease that he'd be revived somehow. I actually think I like this better though, I really liked the 'good ending' of Infamous 2, so it's cool to see my final choice actually had an effect on the series.
WTF, I didn't kill Cole I killed everyone else. I wonder how smoke will interact with the environment and compete with the fun that electricity gave us. I have to admit that smoke never came to mind as a possability but when you think about it smoke is as plentiful as electricity in a big city now a days.
