The lights are on
While art director Jeremy Price and the rest of the team at Warner Bros. Games Montreal are looking to the previous Arkham titles for inspiration, they hope to leave their own mark with a couple of key differences. Since this is a prequel, Batman is a mysterious force in the streets of Gotham. Even the cops aren't sure if he is a myth or supernatural. To emphasize this mystery and fear surrounding the character, the team is planning on amping up their use of silhouettes and film noir-esque low-key lighting to make him a more imposing figure. The developers are also taking advantage of the holiday setting for the game by creating Christmas decorations that are unique to the haunted world of Gotham City.
Watch the video below to learn more about how the team is changing the look of Batman and how the Christmas setting will change the way you experience the game.

The anticipation of this game is killing me!!
Sounds alright, I guess.
Batman is seriously trumping his DC cohorts. I sometimes wonder if they'll ever get time to shine.
i like more info of that game huh lol
Can't wait to see some actual gameplay.
the more I see the more Im convinced that this will be awesome, regardless of whos staring in it or whos writing it. I like the noir style that they are goin for thats most def Bat-style!
The fact they are putting in a MP mode and dedicating resources to that instead of just having a full solid game bothers me. When DLC hits, it will be 'maps' and such to make extra $$. I'm sorry, but this is not going to turn out well for Batman.
Part of me is still concerned if this game will live up to the last two Arkham games but will just have to see.
Now that Game Informer's month of coverage is over, we will have to scan the web every day! I am sure that GI will still regularly update us.
Where. Is. My. Gameplay. Videos?!?!?! WHERE'S THE GAMEPLAY?!?!
I have a hunch that this game is going to just be more of the same. I plan on skipping this and going for Arkham World when it drops for next gen releases.
Until I see some new concepts I may just skip this, I've never bothered with prequels unless it's one of my favorite franchises.
God. All the Arkham games have been on point and this one looks to follow suit perfectly.
This game is going to be special. Not only because Batman is the second greatest DC superhero, next to Superman, but the graphics and theme already seem to be on the next-gen level. Also, the release date is set on my birthday! That makes it extra special!!! :)
aside from the multiplayer component this is looking good don't f**k up
Christmas, Batman, and all packed into my birthday month, what more could a gamer ask for! The art looks amazing and I can tell already it's only going to get fans more and more 'Bat-nerdy' as we come closer to Oct.
