The lights are on
The latest installment in the Dead Island series is out today, and it’s a good time despite its many flaws. Written reviews can only say so much, however, so we’re showing off the first chaotic section of the game.
I play as John Morgan, a hand-to-hand specialist fighting his way off a doomed naval ship. Check out his awe-inspiring sprint kick and some bloody gunplay with Reiner and I.
If you want to see more Dead Island Riptide be sure to check back here at 4pm central for our live stream of the game.

Still, i must say the first had a lot more depth to it, and significantly better flaws at least- and less annoying ones than this iteration's.
So, should this be a rental for me or a buy or even a wait and buy when its cheaper? The first one is a blast but I have not touched it since release month.
Maybe it's because I'm on the west coast and can never actually watch any of the live streams as they do them, but I'd like it if the test chambers could be a little longer than just around 15 minutes.
Okay so I was all excited about the game, but it does have its differences. like for one, if you clear a area of zombies they just keep coming back!!! so annoying. You die more easier in this one. The map is much easier to read. The little dotted line to the red flag, where is it?? it shows up, but then goes away!! The worst part is the zombies. I had 20 of them on me at once, kept dying and lost all my money. This game is already a pain. I liked my easy mode. There is none. :(
I remember when the last Dead Island was looked at... it was with Phil :(
Logan is awesome don't know what the hell they're talking about. Automaically returning weapons. Area of effect throws, no health packs needed, just booze which is plentiful and buffs Logans damage, cheapest maintenance character. Gets multiple uses out of sticky bomb knives.
Logan sucked?!?! oh Tim, you are so wrong. He was the best (as in most overpowered) character. he was great.
I liked the first, though it was certainly flawed, but this installment is releasing too soon for my taste. I'm just not ready to go back; especially since it looks just like an expansion with minimal improvements. I'll pick it up for $20.
Great Test Chamber. The game looks decent, not too excited about it though. I'll wait for a bug price drop before picking it up.
I love this Franchise. Too bad most folks won't give it the time of day, shame....I will continue to support Dead Island games.
