The lights are on
This year's Super Replay Showdown ended with an unexpected dance-off between Ben Reeves and I. Even more unexpected was my fleet-footed rise to victory, but my triumph comes at a terrible toll; I now have to grind my way through the original NES installment of Ninja Gaiden, an infuriatingly challenging platformer whose unrelenting annoyances are matched only by the stupid cackling of GI's resident clown, Dan Ryckert.
Will I be able to overcome the multistage boss battle waiting for us at the end of Ninja Gaiden's long and treacherous road? Will I be able to resist the constant urge to bludgeon Dan to death with my microphone? We can only take it one episode at a time, but I'm putting the odds for both at 50/50.
Join Andrew Reiner, Bryan Vore, Dan Ryckert, and I for the inaugural episode of what may very well be the first never-ending Super Replay.

Great first episode of a sure to be great Super Replay!
Dan cracks me up so much, if he wasn't on these things no way i could watch them.
I wonder how many episodes is it gonna take for jeff to punch dan in the face.
Good luck lol. This is gonna be a rough one.
This is great and all, but I just want to throw this out there for anyone else who wanted to see Jurassic Park: Trespasser.
This is an absolutely FANTASTIC Let's Play from Youtube user Researchindicates. The guy doing it speaks clearly, has subtitles enabled, and tends not to speak over music cues and other important things. He is really knowledgeable about the game, going so far as to show you Easter Eggs while he plays and explaining obscure details - like how the town in Level 4 is named "Burroughs" after Edgar Rice Burroughs; John Hammond's favorite author. He shows off stuff like the hidden third person mode prototype that the dev team worked on briefly, decided not to implement, but left the code in anyway so it wouldn't break the game. He also goes out of his way to tie the game to the movie, embedding movie clips where appropriate. It is an absolute top-notch production as far as a "I'm gonna play this video game and talk over it" video goes. Even better than your Super Replays or Endurance Runs (Giantbomb fans); sorry guys.
I mean, I have never seen someone do a Let's Play and explain things so well - it's like he was on the dev team or something! So for anyone who really wanted to see Trespasser, check this video series out! I can't recommend it enough.
yea I wanted to see Trespasser too. But I think this will be a solid super replay just like always.
Stress Test Super Replay! The jump in level 5 looks infuriating. The level designers must have made it so frustrating on purpose, just to piss gamers off. Also, BAT!!!
I'm so glad Jeff won.
The epic quests of Ryu Hayabusa and some the roughest toughest retro games ever made for the NES and Famicom. ^_^
I enjoyed this a lot more than I was expecting to.
Alright, I'm loving this Super Replay! Jeff is a maniac and needs to be on more Replay and Super Replays. He isn't doing half bad either. I don't know what the hell Dan is doing, but it's hilarious. I'm waiting for Jeff to just straight up tackle Dan. Hopefully :)
