The lights are on
It's almost been five months since Nintendo launched the Wii U. The system hit with some solid first-party offerings like New Super Mario Bros. U along with ports of popular games like Batman: Arkham City and Assassin's Creed III. Wii U owners haven't had much new to play since the console's release, and to make matters worse titles are being delayed and canceled. So are you still happy you have one?
Wii U owners have been hit with some bad news. Rayman Legends is no longer a Wii U exclusive, and the game was delayed to line up with PS3 and 360 releases. The Wii U version of Aliens: Colonial Marines was also canceled following the game's dismal reviews. That may seem like a blessing more than a curse, but it still stinks that Wii U owners don't get the chance to try the game out for themselves. Additionally, Nintendo still hasn't made it possible for former Wii owners to transfer their old Virtual Console purchases over to the Wii U for play on the GamePad.
With all that in mind, do you Wii U owners still feel good about having purchased it? If you haven't bought it but were initially tempted, are you still thinking of picking one up?

I'm seriously considering getting one, but it's hard to justify the $350 price tag for me (since I will be getting the deluxe edition, if any). Oddly enough, I see the Wii U as more of an investment than a gaming console at this stage, so it all depends on the games that will be coming out on it. Pikmin 3 and Wind Waker HD sound great, but I still have some thinking to do.
I've been spending a lot of my WiiU time playing great Wii games that I've never completed like Skyward Sword and Super Mario Galaxy (DKCR is next). I'm also using it for those 30 cent NES/SNES games that have been coming out monthly. So my backlog of Nintendo games should keep me happily busy with my WiiU till more really good WiiU game release.
I love my Wii U, I've had a blast playing Nintendoland and Rabbids Land with my roommates. And playing the final levels of New Super Mario Bros U with 4 players is chaotic fun. Then Sonic All Star racing is a great cart racer and Lego City Undercover i think is the best lego game of the series. Then for downloadable cave story and little inferno are fun little games. And still to come this year have Injustice:Gods Among Us, Duck Tales Remastered, Assassin's Creed IV, Watch Dogs, and Batman: Arkham Origins, and Shovel Knight.
At least for me i have no complaints for the system, I've had alot of fun with the games on the system and have more to look forward to.
I have a pretty empty feeling about my Wii U. I don't have any great experiences with it yet; I'm still waiting for that amazing Zelda title. I've enjoyed the Mario titles over the years but it hasn't been a console seller for me.
I will purchase a Wii U when either a new Zelda or Smash Bros. is released.
I have no doubt that the Wii U will be an amazing console when more high profile games start coming out for it. I wish I had waited until then though because so far, New Super Mario Bros. U and Lego City Undercover are the only Wii U games I've put serious time into.
I don't regret my having it so soon , I love it but it definitely doesn't get a lot of use from me sadly.
I've really wanted one for a while but have noticed the urge slowly dying away.
Yes, played it last night in fact.
Inferior Technology and games made only for small children as usual from Nintendo.
The simple things about the wii u bother me. A lot of the games and applications are missing relatively basic features
I was planning on buying the system. Now I am going to wait on that purchase.
I like my Wii U quite a bit still, but certainly a lot less than when I bought it around launch. My friends, roommates and I play a ton of Nintendo Land on it, but I haven't really played anything on it myself since ZombiU. I sort of feel like the WiiU will be a lot like the 3DS. No games for about 6 months after launch but then picks up to have a pretty fantastic library.
I haven't played it since January, but mostly use it for Netflix. When they finally come out with some interesting exclusives, that's when i'll start playing.
I don't regret my purchase at all. I've had fun with Mario, I've been playing punch out for 30 cents recently, and I still play all my wii games on it. And I use it to watch Netflix. I am ready for games to finally come out though.
Yes have like 200 hours on MH3U lego city on deck my kids play the hell out of nintendo land and mario I did as well so yeah wii U is Liked still and I see a great many things in the future I swear every complaint is about some stupid war game not being on wii u
I just haven't felt the need for a WiiU system just yet. Maybe when some killer games are announced for it. I didn't rule the system out entirely, just waiting on a game made for it that makes me say, "I gotta have this!"
