The lights are on
This year's Super Replay Showdown ended with an unexpected dance-off between Ben Reeves and I. Even more unexpected was my fleet-footed rise to victory, but my triumph comes at a terrible toll; I now have to grind my way through the original NES installment of Ninja Gaiden, an infuriatingly challenging platformer whose unrelenting annoyances are matched only by the stupid cackling of GI's resident clown, Dan Ryckert.
Will I be able to overcome the multistage boss battle waiting for us at the end of Ninja Gaiden's long and treacherous road? Will I be able to resist the constant urge to bludgeon Dan to death with my microphone? We can only take it one episode at a time, but I'm putting the odds for both at 50/50.
Join Andrew Reiner, Bryan Vore, Dan Ryckert, and I for the inaugural episode of what may very well be the first never-ending Super Replay.

just introduced me to prankowl!
Episode 3 might have to go down as one of the best episodes in a Super Replay. Just the conversations you guys had was so hilarious. Dan talking about taking care of a baby and getting someone knocked up had me laughing, Jeff Vs Dan arguments especially when talking about boxing each other. My favorite line from Jeff was "Then I have to explain to some GameStop person why Dan has to eat through a tube for the rest of his life." I had to keep going back just to listen to that over and over again. I was laughing so hard. Great episode even though Jeff did not get anywhere. It was still worth it to watch it all, plus I would never miss an episode. The phone call at the end too, I wish it was longer though! Thanks for this comical episode.
this replay without Dan will be boring.......i know jeff needs to finish the game and all....but i dont think its Dan's fault for that....maybe if u get Tim in the room
I couldn't make it through episode three due to the always amusing child clown that is ryckert. Oh and I sincerely couldn't think of another person who would make a worse father especially with his history hell end up giving the baby to Tim. Do mankind a favor and never procreate I beg of you.
Did you guys have to blow in the cartridge to make it work? Or are you playing on the Wii?
Wow, this game is super hard! Jeff, you got this son! Dan, you are just Dan. Can't wait for the next episode.
Super Replay: I Wanna Be The Guy
Sweet,Also Tim's on it.
I feel like a neenjah...
great job hangtime! your play markedly improved without dan. fun super replay, i love the NES, but you guys still have to do grim fandango sometime.
A superb job by Jeff!
Curious what Dan has to say about it ending in his absence.
WOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! Go Jeff!!!!!
Nice, Jeff. I would never have had the patience to complete this game.
Congrats to JeffM! I feel like Tim's calm observations and Jason's sensei-like knowledge motivated him a lot more than Dan's cackling and general nonsense lol.
Pretty enjoyable Super Replay. While I didn't mind Dan in the first three episodes, the complete a**hole he was being got annoying. Really liked the change of pace Tim brought. Congrats Jeff on beating the game!
Congratulations, and it only took 4 episodes.
Nice job Fava! I would definitely enjoy you guys doing a Ninja Gaiden 2 super replay at some point in the future. The stress test style that this super replay offered was a nice change of pace. I wonder if Jeff would have been able to beat it with Dan in the room? In any event, I enjoyed the lifted spirits that Tim brought to the finale, good job guys!
