Arriving today. I love the God of War Universe and their gameplay, but I perfectly understand why the reviews have been lower and more polarized. The formula has been used for, what, 5 games now? 6? From what I've seen with Ascension, Santa Monica Studios at least did their best to keep the franchise fresh with some combat changes and a new direction with the story, not to mention the controversial Multiplayer. It's nice to see a developer do their best to keep a great franchise fresh and alive.

I'm still on the fence on on whether to buy gow. I may just save my 60 bucks and replay tomb raider which I love so much. I wish games were cheaper it would make decisions easier
