The lights are on
As the protagonist of The Witcher series, one of Geralt of Rivia's defining characteristics is also his profession: monster hunting. While the team at CD Projekt RED touch on this mechanic in past entries, tracking and killing creatures for a bounty is one of the pillars of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Watch the video below to hear gameplay designers Maciej Szczesnik and Marvin So explain how the new system will work and why they think it will help immerse players in Geralt's world.

sorry to be harping the same stuff but can we please get the witcher 1 on console. i dont have the money for a pc and would much rather pay 40-60 dollars for it on my xbox
Going to be game of the freaking century!
Sounds great. I really do hope they add a lot of monsters. Monster hunting is going to be an important pillar for this huge open world game, I hope they add over 30+! Seriously, add more than that!
monster hunting? count me in!
This sounds amazing. Now what they need to do is sell a version of the game with an actual bestiary (like the Wizard's Companion for Ni No Kuni) so that you can page through the book to find the monster rather than go through screens on a pause menu. More immersion!
I can barely understand what their saying at times. But hopefully this game will be good.
