The Brothers Behind The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

If you're especially observant, you might have noticed (in this video interview) that the director and lead quest designer for The Witcher 3 have the same last name. The Tomaszkiewicz brothers started out in wildly different careers and eventually found themselves working together on the Witcher series at CD Projekt Red in Warsaw, Poland.

Watch the quick interview below to learn how two brothers ended up developing games together and what it is like to create a massive open-world RPG with your little brother.

  • While I dont know that much about the Witcher series, it is nice to see the people who make this industry work.  They seem like nice enough guys.  I dont think I could develop a game with my brother though :/

  • Sweet.

  • I don't honk I could develop a game with my brother either. Cause I have two sisters, but maybe my brother in law.

  • Looking at the credits for the Witcher 2 and seeing the staff names for the Witcher 3 makes me happy that my bizarre sounding Polish last name isn't strange everywhere in the world
  • That's a mouthful.

  • That last name...

  • Brotherly love calls for a great game. Witcher looks and feels like a tight story-driven game. I'm not a "RPG heavy" gamer but I may end up starting off with this kind of game.

  • Awesome. Can't wait for this game.

  • Pretty cool little interview. It's a shame I can't really understand what he's saying. I mean, I can catch most of it, but some of it just slips out of my grasp. Mostly that first part. Medical college? Medical worker? Is that right? Also, I would not have pronounced their last name right in a million years. I'm actually still not sure I can.
  • The front page image makes it look like the one guy is sitting on his brother's lap. Hilarious.
  • The pic in the front page makes them look really gay.
  • I honesty do not know if I can share a job with my 2 brothers.

  • Thepreview picture before you click it looks weird! XD

  • That picture on the home page made it look like one was sitting on the others lap...

  • They looked like a very playful and loving gay couple in the picture.
