Character artists Neil Crofts and Will Thompson spend their days staring into icy black eyes. Fortunately, those eyes belong to adorable Lego figures. Neil and Will have years of experience bringing figures to life, both through adapting the official Lego designs to work within the games and creating new designs from scratch (which accounts for roughly 75 percent of their work).

I bought a custom Kit Fisto minifig off of ebay many years ago. The seller was nice enough to tell my 10-year old self how he made them, and I've been making my own ever since.
