The lights are on
Before Traveller's Tales became the premiere developer of Lego-themed games, the company primarily worked with existing IP, such as Toy Story and Crash Bandicoot. In 2002, Traveller's Tales tried to develop its own universe in Haven: Call of the King, a game originally envisioned as the first chapter of an ongoing series. The game packed in an impressive amount of variety – with few if any load times between sections as diverse as platforming and aerial dogfighting. Join us for look at Haven's introductory moments, in what would become an odd footnote for Traveller's Tales.

I remember playing Haven as a kid, for a platformer at the time it did feature an insane amount of variety. After some initial run of the mill platforming cliches you start playing a game that keeps throwing new things at you, it didn't play perfectly but it was solid enough and pretty fun. I still admire it for doing some new things in what was at the time a pretty saturated market.
I had to pick between an SNES and Game Gear as a kid...I chose the SNES. *whew*
Jesus Tim...you sucked this round =\
That game was awesome
Also should be said the voice-actress for Janine in Blue Stinger would later voice Rouge the Bat in Sonic Adventure 2.
Geez, do you guys not know how to do a moving spin dash? Just push down while running. Frustrating to watch.
I think Tim's eagerness to hate Haven affected his gameplay. He never tried to use his attack in Haven without moving until the last few minutes. Sorry to be critical, but I think the game was probably better than he was letting it be.
Great Episdoe of Replay! I remember Haven quite well and had a blast with that game. My Game Gear on the other hand.. While I still have it, it hardly saw any use.
This was an interesting Replay. I really liked the selection for this. The Haven game was not fun looking at all! I remember seeing this game in stores and I am so glad I turned it down every time. Also games like that just got really old after awhile. The characters look terrible too! The roulette was a great choice! I actually have a Game Gear that I got at a yard sale not to long ago. I really don't see what looks so bad with it either. The game looks normal.
the is Haven: Call Of The King is a good game
I had that Sonic Game Gear game! In fact, it still my be back at my mom's tucked away in a closet somewhere. I didn't think it was that bad, but it wasn't nearly as good as the Genesis games. I ended up getting the Game Gear instead of the GameBoy :(
dumbest game name is an arcade game named "faster then speed"
such a nonsensical name
