Replay – The Sopranos: Road To Respect

Licensed games are frequently of dubious quality, and the Playstation 2 certainly wasn't immune to this long-standing tradition. While many licensed games are based on children's shows or family-friendly movies, the PS2 played host to several titles based on more adult properties. We received awful-to-mediocre treatments of Reservoir Dogs, 24, Scarface, and this week's Replay...The Sopranos.

Watch below to see Andrew Reiner, Ben Reeves, departing intern Mike Mahardy, and me check out the HBO family's Road To Respect.

  • Never heard of it. Can't wait to watch it.

EDIT: The first game looks awful. The second one looks good, except for the PSOne graphics.
  • I'm gonna watch this in bed with NSMBU on the GamePad. :)
  • wow... really.

  • Guess I'll just wait for the upload to YouTube because the GI player won't even show up on the screen for me...

  • The Sopranos: Road To Respect is one of the best games I've played. The story was fantastic.
  • I own this game,pray for me
  • i heard scarface was good...
  • Hilarious episode, thanks guys. Those combat moves in the roulette looked freaking sweet!! Please someone remake a game like that or something, damn.

  • Aeon Flux actually looks kinda cool. I think I would have liked it if I had played it back in the day.
  • Great Replay, the Sopranos game looked pretty awful. The Aeon Flux looked alittle interesting. Can't wait for more Blue Stinger, I want more!

  • Isn't this Mike's second departing Replay episode, or am I just confused?
  • Are you goons telling me that you don't like Rogue's Voodoo Donut Bacon Maple Ale? Did anybody besides Mike actually try it, because that beer is delicious.
  • Adventures in Licensed Gaming.  To the credit of both developers, neither game comes off as a train wreck.  In fact, I could see a die-hard fan of either IP revisiting these for fun, but probably not worth it for anyone else.

As a result, there isn't a so-bad-its-good MST3K vibe to this episode, but it was entertaining none the less.  I enjoyed the riffs on American Gladiators and The Running Man, right in my wheelhouse.

  • Mike again? I feel like we'll have him for the next 10 replays, all saying "this is Mike's last Replay". I actually hope for that since I like Mike.
  • This reminds me of that 24 game

  • I wish you guys would go back to playing games that someone would actually be interested in.

  • Haha, nice.

  • I would totally play that Aeon Flux game. Some of the gunplay looked rough and some of the camera angles were a bit wonky but everything else looked pretty fun. I'd like to see it maybe hit PSN under PS2 classics, though I doubt it will.

  • Man, I love me some Sopranos. Greatest show on HBO ever.

Now I'm hoping that one day you guys do a replay for the Reservoir Dogs game. My favorite movie of all time ruined by a crappy game.
