Super Replay – Blue Stinger

Over the last couple of years, the Replay crew has introduced a new installment of Super Replay on New Year's Eve. We continue this tradition this year with a game we hope captures the same spirit of the "classic" Overblood games.

Blue Stinger is a survival horror game that launched alongside the Dreamcast in 1999. Join Eliot Blahblahblah and our new best friend Dogs Bower on an amazing trip to Dinosaur Island. Raise a Hassy with Matt Helgeson, Dan Ryckert, Tim Turi, and I, as we kick off an epic new Super Replay chapter.

  • Haha, that timed store run was an episode of replay futility.  Forgot the shutter numbers, LOL.

24 reference, lol.  And it all connects, since there was a 4 day marathon over the holidays.

  • Ugh, and now we have to wait until Sunday to see what happens. :( Oh, and Dan was right, there was totally a chick sprawled on the floor at the beginning of the episode, although I don't think any of you guys reacted to it.
  • originally, this post of mine was about running past the elevator for twice without trying it.

Now that I have watch the second half of the episode, i now know that they eventually tried it anyway.

Thanks guys, good luck with your noble quest for Docksin.
  • Excellent thanks again for this.

  • Sweet. :3

  • Hmm, I don't remember that demon Santa from when I went to lab town, guess I just forgot.
  • Tim, I agree with you about RE6. I really liked it.
  • I dug up IGN's 8.4 review. "Consistent framerate, gorgeous lighting & explosions - it's total next gen stuff." It's the future!
  • That camera! &*#(!!!!!

  • This was painful to watch them play. The save room was next to the video rental place.  Aarrgghh

  • i hope they find the save room before they go into the elevator or they're gonna be upset

also i hope at some point they adjust the brightness on the tv cause its way too dark
  • Dogs Bower might be the greatest name in the history of names. Barely two hours into Blue Stinger and there has already been two countdown timers. Super Metroid, eat your heart out! Ah, the infamous Game Informer Overblood 2 "glitch." That one still stings.
  • I thought it was pretty awesome that the characters from pen pen tri-ice-alon were on the stamp machine. and that rouge the bat's voice actress was "sniperella"

  • Thank Jesus it's another Super Replay!

  • There's was a Gremlins game for PS2, you guys. It's either canceled or only came out in Europe or somthing. I think it's a third person shooter; something not unlike Death Jr? I don't know; I obviously hasn't played it - it looks like shovelware. You should take a look at a copy for a normal edition of Replay one of these weekends. And here's a trailer for ANOTHER Gremlins Wii game, which is obviously the kind of production you're talking about - a mini game compilation!

  • I really liked it when they gave each Overblood 2 episode a title, gave you a little hint of what was coming before you sat down to watch it, it'd be cool if they did here as well.

    Great replay anyway though.

  • I just got around to watching episode 2, and it was fantastic!

Really living up to the Legacy of Overblood after the horror that was Cyberia =p. I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for Episode 3!
