The lights are on
Over the last couple of years, the Replay crew has introduced a new installment of Super Replay on New Year's Eve. We continue this tradition this year with a game we hope captures the same spirit of the "classic" Overblood games.
Blue Stinger is a survival horror game that launched alongside the Dreamcast in 1999. Join Eliot Blahblahblah and our new best friend Dogs Bower on an amazing trip to Dinosaur Island. Raise a Hassy with Matt Helgeson, Dan Ryckert, Tim Turi, and I, as we kick off an epic new Super Replay chapter.
Email the author Andrew Reiner, or follow on Twitter, Facebook, and Game Informer.
Also I can't believe that someone didn't make a muffin/boob joke out of that Ben story.
DOGS BOWER!!! Very fun episode, glad Matt could make it back for the Super Replay, always great commentary. Keep up the excellent Game Informin!
This game seems like a mix between Overblood and Overblood 2. Awesome!
Super Replay!!! so excited guys. Super replay on Half-Life 2 soon? I'll even let Dan play
awesome watching now on youtube.
Oh my god. That muffin girl story really broke my heart lol. And great episode! I'm looking forward to this one.
i loveeeed this game even though its super cheesy now lol, i it got as christmas present when the dream cast first released which i still have that very dream cast, but i got it before i got my dream cast and i though it was a playstation game XD then when i finally got my dreamcast with house of the dead 2 and sonic adenture for christmas i was in heaven with this title and the dreamcast its probablly my all time favorite retro system!!
Poor kittah.
I'm so excited for episode 2
Did none of them realize they let a guy die, and that all they had to do is shoot the monster in the room to get the keycard?
Awesome
Should be a fun ride!
Damn it, it isn't fun if your irreverent commentary doesn't obfuscate the dialogue and leave you wandering lost for two episodes.
Dogs is awesome. He could be Jack Bauer's grandfather. Ironically, I'm wearing a Big Dogs t-shirt right now. I've still got a couple.
Dan can't handle 1 cat? Now imagine a single mother with two kids and 3 cats, among numerous other animals... the cats are the easy ones.
Poor Ben. You're almost as awkward as me.
Timed death... yep, this is the replay that was meant to be. Apparently saving the guy in the shuttle gets you a Napalm Gun. Yeah I looked it up.
The first episode is inspiringly good. This game looks great (aged well) yet is just outdated enough to cause hilarity. : )
Also, GI guys, I LOVE that you made that pledge about cutscenes for this replay! I am both proud of you all and pleased that we can enjoy the very cheesy story that this game is obviously going to tell us all.
Thank you very much.
Getting a Subway story flashback there with the Hanson story.
Great start to the Super Replay. Dogs Bower. When my mom named her Jack Russell Terrier Jack partly after Jack Bauer I never though to give him the awesome name Jack Bower. Now, he will have that name forever more.
Man, that opening score is something else.
Going to Lab Town!
