The lights are on
We are getting the heck out the Game Informer offices because it's time to celebrate the holidays, and catch up on all those video games we have been putting off all year.
Tim Turi: Over the holiday break I’m hoping to play both new and old favorites. I really want to get together with my cousin, who helped introduce me to gaming at an early age, and play a bunch of old Genesis and Super Nintendo games. I want to finally beat Far Cry 3, Borderlands 2, and Dishonored. Street Fighter X Mega Man also has me itching to go back to the classic series quite a bit. Oh! I think I’m getting a Wii U for Christmas, too, so I may be playing some Nintendo Land with friends
Jeff Marchiafava: I’ll be using the holiday break to catch up on the best games of 2012. Including Far Cry 3, Borderlands 2, and hopefully finally finishing XCOM: Enemy Unknown. I also have a couple of games I’m expecting as Christmas gifts, like Valkyria Chronicles and Tropico 4. Sounds like someone is going to be a smarty pants in the New Year.
Kyle Hilliard: After bouts of sickness both personally and from other members of my household, I am looking forward to a break of scaled back responsibilities, hanging out with the family, and lots of video games. I have games that I still need to finish like Call of Duty: Black Ops II, some I need to start like Far Cry 3, and I have double experience vouchers for Halo 4 that are just wasting away doing nothing. I also have plans to watch a lot of James Bond movies.
Joe Juba: I still haven't finished a bunch of games that I had hoped to by this point, but that's not going to stop me from starting up a new one! I grabbed a copy of Dragon's Dogma, so over the holidays I'm hoping to dive into that one. I'll also be playing an assortment of mobile games, because it's easier to do that when you're surrounded by family.
Andrew Reiner: My holiday break is once again dedicated to 100 percenting a few of this year's releases. The first game on this list is Far Cry 3. I'm going for all of the idols and achievements. Next up is Sleeping Dogs. I loved the hell out of this game, and can't wait to see what the DLC has to offer. Borderlands 2 is the final game on this list. I already have the new DLC, and hope to finish all of the campaign and DLC missions before I return to work in early January. Happy holidays and happy gaming, everyone! Be safe and warm!

Far Cry 3, Rage Scorchers DLC. Then I need to pick up where I left off in a ton other games, AC3, Alan Wake, Lollipop Chainsaw. Maybe start up a new Deus Ex Human Revolution playthrough because I found out you can upgrade your inventory space. I played quite a way through it tossing stuff aside hoping I wouldn't need it.
Christmas break will be in full swing for me on Tuesday, since my Christmas will actually be tomorrow (Sunday). Hoping I get a couple of games off of my rather extensive list such as X-COM and Far Cry 3 but barring that there won't be much going on.
I'm on Winter Break so I'll be mainly relaxing. I wanna see Zero Dark Thirty, Lincoln, and maybe The Hobbit, but I want to watch Lord of the Rings first. I currently don't have an Xbox 360 controller, which sucks because I only bought Halo 4 a week before I lost my last one at my friend's house. I'm asking for one for Christmas though. Other than these things I just want to relax and play some Wii U and Dishonored.
Persona 4 Arena on this weekend, then hunting trophies on Winter breaks.
Just got a Super Nintendo and new N64 games hope to play those play some Christmas gifts and beat some other games I still have to beat again for gamer score.
I'm working on getting 100% on Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4 (I'm at about 90% so far), and then I'll be doing the same for Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7.
I just bought Darksiders and Metro 3033 in last weeks THQ sale and I also purchased Super Meat Boy and Tony Hawk Pro Skater Hd in the holiday Xbox Live sales along with Bully. I've got to decide which to delve into first and also maybe catch up on Halo 4's Spartan Ops! However there's always a possibility that I may just end up playing Battlefield 3 multiplayer all break long...
Welp ladies and gentlefolk I am getting Black ops 2 WWE 13 and Halo 4 for christmas I think first up shall be WWE 13 ftw. And of course whatever game i get from gamefly this week also. Well everyone have a Merry Christmas and Happy New YEar. Screw all of you politically correct losers and your happy holidays it is Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Remember Jesus is the reason for the season
I lugged my Xbox 360 from LA to Florida on a red eye Friday night in preperation of sitting around the girlfriends parents house for a week. Regretted last year not bringing one of my systems. I brought Far Cry 3, Halo 4, Battlefield 3, Black Ops 2, Borderlands 2, NBA 2k13 and Fallout 3. Planning on finishing Far Cry at some point which I'm loving. Think I'm 53% done with 3 main missions left. Plan on playing some Borderlands Mr Torgues campaign and probably hop online with the other games. Haven't played too much NBA despite liking it a lot. Maybe dive back into my Fallout 3 character after abandoning it when the new games started coming out in September. Oh and lots of eating and drinking wine. Got lots to play and I might even get a game or two for Christmas!
Far Cry 3, AC3, Black Ops II, Darksiders II, probably some inFamous 2, and maybe some Skyrim. And definitely lots of P4G. So good.
Excellent plans lads.
I need to finish Kingdoms of Amalur, Skyrim, Forza Horizon, and start a new playthrough of Dragon's Dogma, Ghost Recon: FS, and Dishonored. I want to get Sleeping Dogs and Darksiders II, but that probably won't happen.
I got a Wii U so Nintendo Land and New Mario Bros U are in my future. Maybe some RE6 and NBA 2K13 on PS3
I've gotten back into Forza Horizon in the past few days. Still trying to finish all the standard achievements. Playing some Madden Ultimate Team Holiday challenges. Just opened up Darksiders 2, so far so good! Put Far Cry 3 down for a little bit, I was burning a hole in the disc I was playing it so much. Still want to pick AC3 back up but can't bring myself to squeeze it in, it's so time consuming. Picked up Deadlight on Xbl and Tony Hawk Hd for some nostalgia.
