The lights are on
We are getting the heck out the Game Informer offices because it's time to celebrate the holidays, and catch up on all those video games we have been putting off all year.
Tim Turi: Over the holiday break I’m hoping to play both new and old favorites. I really want to get together with my cousin, who helped introduce me to gaming at an early age, and play a bunch of old Genesis and Super Nintendo games. I want to finally beat Far Cry 3, Borderlands 2, and Dishonored. Street Fighter X Mega Man also has me itching to go back to the classic series quite a bit. Oh! I think I’m getting a Wii U for Christmas, too, so I may be playing some Nintendo Land with friends
Jeff Marchiafava: I’ll be using the holiday break to catch up on the best games of 2012. Including Far Cry 3, Borderlands 2, and hopefully finally finishing XCOM: Enemy Unknown. I also have a couple of games I’m expecting as Christmas gifts, like Valkyria Chronicles and Tropico 4. Sounds like someone is going to be a smarty pants in the New Year.
Kyle Hilliard: After bouts of sickness both personally and from other members of my household, I am looking forward to a break of scaled back responsibilities, hanging out with the family, and lots of video games. I have games that I still need to finish like Call of Duty: Black Ops II, some I need to start like Far Cry 3, and I have double experience vouchers for Halo 4 that are just wasting away doing nothing. I also have plans to watch a lot of James Bond movies.
Joe Juba: I still haven't finished a bunch of games that I had hoped to by this point, but that's not going to stop me from starting up a new one! I grabbed a copy of Dragon's Dogma, so over the holidays I'm hoping to dive into that one. I'll also be playing an assortment of mobile games, because it's easier to do that when you're surrounded by family.
Andrew Reiner: My holiday break is once again dedicated to 100 percenting a few of this year's releases. The first game on this list is Far Cry 3. I'm going for all of the idols and achievements. Next up is Sleeping Dogs. I loved the hell out of this game, and can't wait to see what the DLC has to offer. Borderlands 2 is the final game on this list. I already have the new DLC, and hope to finish all of the campaign and DLC missions before I return to work in early January. Happy holidays and happy gaming, everyone! Be safe and warm!

Having finished up my 40 hour playthrough of Far Cry 3, I'm replaying Rage, along with the newly released DLC for it.
Hopefully, I can finish Platting Dragon's Dogma. And if that gets done, I really want to jump in to Far Cry 3.
With yet another week and-a-half of winter break ahead of me and having survived the apocalypse, I plan to get in a lot more game time with my gaming backlog. Specifically, I'll be moving on from AC III and getting back to MGS: Peacewalker and getting through more of Kid Icarus: Uprising. I also have a few more movies in the collection to enjoy and will maybe see the Hobbit next week.
P.S. : Sorry to hear Mr. Hyliard. Wish you and the fam the best! And thanks for the best wishes Mr. Reiner!
gonna play all of the THQ bundle from steam. woohoo!
I will be playing everything under the sun and hanging out with my dad.
Going to play more League of Legends and maybe head back to Skyrim.
I've finally had the chance to beat a lot of games in my backlog now that I'm on vacation. I finished Professor Layton 5, Assassin's Creed III and Mario U and now I'm moving right into Halo 4 and Resident Evil 6. I'm hoping to finish those two before Christmas.
Awesome!
black ops 2. then on for christmas ac3 borderlands 2 and dishonored.
More Far Cry 3, Skyrim if it gets a daily deal on Steam.
Skyrim dlc, halo 4, ac brotherhood.... Joe Juba will not be disappointed. Dragon's Dogma is one of the finest games in the genre I've ever played. Brilliant job system.
Well over the weekend I'm going to watch football and recently have been playing Brink again (yes some people still play). On Christmas eve I'm going to have a movie marathon and then on Christmas I will get to play the Wii U.
Was hoping to get a Wii U for Christmas but since my husband spent so much money on my wedding band this past week I can count that out. So guess I'll be sticking to playing Sleeping Dogs, Sims 3,Pokemon White 2, and maybe going back to Skyrim. Should be getting Donkey Kong Country Returns for Christmas so I'm looking forward to playing that as well.
I just started Dishonored today and I still have to start Forza Horizon. I also want to play the new DLC for Borderlands and Skyrim. I'm also hoping to get Far Cry 3 for Christmas as well. Oh and I need to finish Polemon Black 2 too...
I finished getting all the trophies for Far Cry 3, my GOTY, but my brother is playing through it so I'm not done watching it yet. I'll be hanging out with him this weekend. For myself, I'll be playing XCOM and Deponia. Spending time with some family Saturday for Christmas dinner and then some other family members on Christmas Day.
I doubt I'm going to be able to do all this, but we'll see:
1) Finish Borderlands 2, which I'm not very far into at all, and get 100%.
2) I just finished Dishonored, but I hope to get most of the extra stuff that I missed in the missions, AND replay it without alerting/killing anyone.
3) Finish Assassin's Creed III, and get 100%
4) Replay Black Ops 2. Play multiplayer.
5) Play through Mass Effect 3 DLC, and try to fit in another play-through of the entire game.
6) Finish Dawnguard. Buy Hearthfire and Dragonborn and finish those, get 100% in Skyrim.
7) Download Walking Dead episodes 4 and 5. Finish those.
8) Play Journey
9) Getting Halo 4 for Christmas, Complete Campaign and Co-op.
10) Getting Far Cry 3 for Christmas, get 100%.
11) Getting Sleeping Dogs for Christmas. get 100%
