The lights are on
We've reached that horrible time of year, when the holidays suck out your soul and the big games have stopped coming out. What's a person to do in dire times like these?
This is the time when you reach back into your collection and pull out that old favorite – that game that you can always pop in and play when you're desperate for a smile.
Maybe it's a game that's so large that you're still struggling to get 100% or maybe it has a lot of replay value even though you've beat it a zillion times.
Whatever your reasoning, in the comments section below we want to hear what about your ol' standby games that you keep returning to.

SimCity 4 for the PC
Any simulation game is great to play every so often and just experiment building great cities...and having a giant monster destroy it.
I'm just going to stick to Halo 4.
some FF remakes.
I just play whatever I'm in the mood for.
Bastion, Bioshock, Pokemon, Metroid Fusion, Age of Empires, Oblivion, among others.
Portal 2 and fallout 3 for the story and the first modern warfare and halo 3 for multiplayer
Civilation IV on the PC, because I can"t afford the new one, any moble Fire Emblem game on my 3DS or GBA, and Assassin's Creed Revelations on the Xbox 360, because I can't afford the new one.
