The lights are on
Rayman Legends isn't releasing until February 26, but Ubisoft was nice enough to send out a free demo to everyone who has a Wii U.
Myself, Reiner, and intern Mike Mahardy played through all three levels the demo had to offer, which included the very awesome music/rhythm based level featuring a bizarre Rayman-themed cover of Black Betty by Ram Jam.

I couldn't help but smile while playing the Black Betty level. This game is going to be great if it's anything like the demo. The controls were tight, it made FUN use of the gamepad (nothing gimmicky), the graphics were AMAZING I mean the colors just popped off the TV, and the music was terrific. It's going to suck when this comes out at the end of February though because Monster Hunter is supposed to be out in March, and I probably won't have that much time to play it.
God this game looks so good. February is gonna be so awesome! I really hope Stairway to Heaven is one of the licensed songs. An 8 minute musical level? Yes please.

I have the demo downloaded, just have to get around to playing it.
This makes me want the WiiU for something other than Zelda.
The art style of this game in both graphics and music are fun to look at and listen to. This will be a very great side scroll!
I played this demo in Best Buy with a few friends. It was a blast!

Mike Mahardy seems like a cool guy. Origins IS an amazing game and I agree with him when he says it was one of his favorites of the year.
