Weekend Warrior 12/14/12

by O'Dell Harmon on Dec 14, 2012 at 01:00 PM

It’s a jungle out there this weekend as we will be trying to survive the harsh environments of the gaming world just as much as the real world. What world will you be exploring this weekend?

Ben Hanson: This weekend I hope to play some more XCOM, but there's no surprise there. I'm also looking forward to diving back in to Double Fine's Middle Manager of Justice on iOS, I played the accidentally released version and enjoyed my time with it so I'm curious about the changes they have made in the last couple of months. Other than that, I will probably continue playing the original Paper Mario on my under-utilized Wii U.

O’Dell Harmon: So this weekend will be filled with me getting a dream world ability Eevee because I lost my first one (I don’t want to talk about it), playing some Spartan Ops in Halo 4, showing people why I am the best in Super Smash Bros. Brawl in a live stream, and cleaning out my house because I will be moving soon. Also making sure I don’t die driving around in the snow.

Jeff Marchiafava: I’ve finally gotten back into Borderlands 2, so I look forward to continuing to run around Pandora like a crazy person. I’ll also probably put some more time into the new Zen Classics table pack for Pinball FX 2, and finally try out the latest update for MineCraft XBLA. Then again, I might just spend the entire weekend playing MegaCity for Android. It’s so good!

Mike Mahardy: I’ll be finishing up the Call of Duty: Black Ops II campaign this weekend, as well as playing more Borderlands 2 and Skyrim. Dragonborn is a lot of content, and well worth the purchase despite the annoying dragon controls. Outside of games, I’ll be watching the Home Alone movies (1 and 2, the rest don’t exist. Don’t try to convince me otherwise) and eating Christmas cookies.

Kyle Hilliard: This weekend I will play Far Cry 3 (maybe), Halo 4 (maybe), and do laundry (definitely). I may sleep, too.

Jordan LaPorte: I should really spend this weekend cleaning my place, but playing Dishonored or Far Cry 3 seems like way more fun, so I’ll probably end up just doing that instead. Outside of those games I’m not entirely sure what I’ll be playing this weekend. FTL is on sale right now and I’ve been curious about that game for a while, so I might buy that and spend some time in space getting my butt kicked as well.
