The lights are on
It's snowing here in Minneapolis. To most people that means icy roads, itchy scarves, and bad drivers, but to us it's just a great excuse to stay in and play video games.
Andrew Reiner: If I don't shoot a handful of endangered animals in Far Cry 3, this weekend is a failure. If you haven't played this game yet, you're really missing out. I also have to finish up The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim's Dragonborn DLC. I'm enjoying the hell out of it, and feel like I'm closing in on its final moments.
Jordan LaPorte: This weekend I’m going to spend some quality time choking dudes out and hiding their corpses in dumpsters with Hitman: Absolution. When I’m not busy dispatching people in creative ways, I plan on continuing my trek through Binary Domain, a game which I have enjoyed way more than I initially expected to. Outside of video games, I want to finally watch the copy of Cabin in the Woods that I bought a couple weeks ago because, man, that movie is fantastic. Ben Hanson: This weekend I hope to finally finish off XCOM. After restarting twice I'm feeling relatively confident in my current game and I need to finally the put nail in the squaddie-filled coffin. Other than that I hope to go back and play Saints Row: The Third and try to build of the motivation to play more Darksiders 2 on my Wii U.Tim Turi: You know that thing where you get so overwhelmed with work, school assignments, chores, and life’s other responsibilities that you just check out from it all by taking a nap? I’m sort of doing that with games. I love Far Cry 3, Call of Duty: Black Ops II’s multiplayer, and all the other winter releases, but for whatever reason I just want to play old games right now. I’ve been replaying the early PlayStation era Resident Evils, along with the HD remake of Resident Evil 4. I also popped in Mega Man 9 and 10, blasted through the Robot Masters, and will hopefully take down Wily twice this weekend. I intend to keep this going during the weekend, perhaps with a bit of Lego Lord of the Rings thrown in.Jeff Marchiafava: I have no idea what I’m going to play this weekend. Halo 4 multiplayer, Assassin’s Creed III, Far Cry 3, XCOM, and Borderlands 2 are all candidates, but I might just zone out and play a bunch of Pinball FX 2 instead.
Kyle Hilliard: We’ve called in a babysitter for Saturday night, and we’re going out and doing something. We’re just not entirely sure what it will be, exactly.
Mike Mahardy: I’ll be exploring Solstheim in Skyrim’s Dragonborn DLC this weekend. I’m four hours in and barely feel as if I’ve put a dent in it. Also, I’ll have to decide between trying out Lego Lord of the Rings (I’m a diehard LOTR guy) or Black Ops II. Both sound good. But Skyrim is pretty unfriendly to any other games. So I might just play that.

Sounds like you guys have your hands full. As for me, I'll be laying low, hopefully posting a few reviews and/or blogs, enjoying GOME, reuniting with ODST some more on this account, and possibly enjoying some more FC3 as well.
Far Cry 3 is at the top of my list this weekend. Oh, and also lots of work. The hotel business doesn't stop on the weekends. Most unfortunate.
minecraft, minecraft, and oh yeah! minecraft......
Lego LOTR and scribblenuats unlimted and skyrim and whatever else I feel like playing my town is doing hayrides and holiday stroll and a couple of concerts so I will be playing all of those games in between have a great wk end GI staff and to everyone else.
Xenoblade, and maybe ACIII, if I can get it.
Halo 4 ME3 and AC3 for me and I hope to rent far cry 3
Probably finishing up a professional playthrough for RE4 HD, studying for finals, more Borderlands 2, some more XCOM, and maybe some more ME3 although it isn't really grabbing me.
I have my last two finals on Monday but I'm two levels shy of 50 for Halo 4. That has to get done or I won't concentrate on my studies. Oh, and laundry lots and lots of laundry.
Hoping to finish up Zone of the Enders: the 2nd Runner sometime over the weekend. Will also probably start the second Sly Cooper. If I beat ZoE, I really don't know what I might start next.
I don't know, maybe Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault, Under Defeat, and whatever I feel like popping in.
I've been trying to beat Mass Effect 2 for the past couple weeks but all my excitement for GTA 5 has gotten me distracted so I went back and started GTA 4:The Ballad of Gay Tony. Its a good one.
Since finals are next week I'll be telling myself I should be studying, but playing Blops 2 instead. I'll also play some project Mirai and listen to hours and hours of vocaloid music... And maybe try to get some Christmas shopping done.
