Test Chamber – Skyrim's Dragonborn DLC

Bethesda Game Studios is still pumping out great new content for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, a sprawling RPG that released over a year ago. The game's newest DLC, Dragonborn, takes players to the island of Solstheim, located off of the coast of Morrowind. Joe Juba and Matt Miller – the two people in the Game Informer offices voted to be "the most likely to write Elder Scrolls fan fiction" – sat down with me for a brief look at this lengthy new quest. Along the way, Joe shoes off his mountain climbing prowess, and we run into a power-crazed villain capable of stealing dragon souls from right under our noses. Dragonborn is available now on Xbox Live for 1600 Microsoft Points, and is scheduled to release on PC and PlayStation 3 in the new year.

  • ..... Fallout 4. That is all.
  • edit: I had to change my comment because Captain Spiffy above me used my line. Hmm... what shoudl I say. I agree with the idea that they should find a way to start dlc up instead of having some guy run you down and say, "HEY! There is a new threat trying to destroy all of Skyrim... AGAIN. Odd right? You should check it out."
  • Looking good. Bethesda might redeem themselves.
  • Ha, I wrote about this the day it came out!

  • Sweet, was wondering when this a test chamber was going to happen of Dragonborn. I knew the staff couldn't hold off on it.

Oh and the supposed until now "first" Dragonborn was St. Alessia the Slave Queen, who founded the First Cyrodiilic empire and freeing those under Ayleid oppression.. Knights of the Nine went into detail about this.
  • Appropriate choice of Staff members to handle the Skyrim lore... ;-)

  • yea theyre just biding time to release their next game on next gen consoles

  • This is probably my favorite DLC from Bethesda yet/
  • :/ can we get some people who actually know the fiction to play the game in front of the microphone, seriously the commentary from this is sad, solstheim is from the bloodmoon expansion of morrowind. if you work for a game journalism site you might like to know what the fxxx you are talking about once in a while
  • Here do you toil.

  • oh interesting.

  • I really want to go back to Skyrim, but I'm not sure its worth it. Maybe when Dawnguard comes to ps3 too. (hopefully)

  • I wonder if Joe and Miller would publish their Elder Scrolls fan fiction for us...

  • best skyrim dlc that has come out yet, even though all of them are very good in their own way in my opinion.

  • That's crazy that you could find Meridia's Beacon in Solsthiem hahaha that's wonderufl
  • I dont want to watch to much but from what it looks like its awesome cant wait to get it

  • Freaking amazing. I explored the first town a little, but am too busy with FC3 at the moment.

  • I really just can't get back into Skyrim. I just want to be playing oblivion the entire time.
