  • The Walking Dead is officially my Game of the Year kind of caught me by surprise.

  • I had to play all these games or i would just be lying to myself.

  • I had to play all these games or i would just be lying to myself.

  • GOTY goes to The Walking Dead for my vote. I'm going to the Video Game Awards live this Friday, seems like a great time to go with this year's lineup of nominees.
  • Halo 4 hands down best sci fi. Does'nt skimp on a common sense ending.
  • I'm surprised that The Walking Dead is considered an action game, but I gotta go for AC3

  • The Walking Dead & Journey are my contenders. Brilliant games that introduced emotions at a time where you don't get much of it other than the generic "Hell yeah, I killed that camper."

  • Where the hell is Mount & Blade: Warband-Napoleonic Wars for DLC!?! GI sometimes I hate when you exclude indie games.
  • "Vote as often as you like"? Thats no way to do a poll...

  • Mass Effect 3 > Journey > The Walking Dead > Halo 4 > Assassin's Creed 3
  • Where is harley's revenge dlc??????????

Also, why is Borderlands 2 not up for best RPG, that seems like a copout to give Mass Effect 3 that category.

  • wow made me notice just how few exclusives the PS3 had this year.  Stark contrast to last year.

  • I'm an idiot
  • For DLC, where is Artorias of the Abyss?
  • Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. Closely followed by Lollipop Chainsaw and XCOM.

Surprised that Transformers wasn't listed on either multiplayer category. I'm not a fan of the competitive MP, but the Co-op MP is fun.
  • Gotta say your Action Game category is way too broad. Recommend a Exploration/Adventure category for games like Unfinished Swan, Walking Dead, Journey. Action kinda implies something with killing, and while Walking Dead has some of that it's never really an act the player controls, just reacts to (which I'd like to think is metaphorical and not just a gameplay restriction), and the rest of the game is story driven point and clickery. Great stuff, but not action-y per se. Same with Unfinished Swan and Journey: no real combat, just exploring a distinct world and solving puzzles and doing some platforming.

Just need some more categories to let the more experimental stuff - that accomplishes different goals than most of the heavily marketed games set out to do -so they can get recognition for their unique accomplishments and contributions to the medium without having to get compared to hack and slashers. Walking Dead shouldn't be compared to Dishonored in any way other than to say they are both great for radically different reasons.
  • I think this should be titled Vote for your favorite game this year. I dunno just seems like it will be more of a popularity contest than people actually voting for the best games. Also that honor still goes to Fire Emblem Awakening.
  • Where's PS All Stars for Playstation exclusive? Not that I'd vote for it anyway.

  • I get that this is all opinion, but some of the choices are just baffling. 007 Legends is a GOTY choice but Zero Escape isn't? Zero Escape is apparently an action game now? Planetside 2 is on the list for GOTY but not Shooter, a category I could vote for the horribly-reviewed MoH: Warfighter in? The Witcher 2 is on the list despite being a port from 2011? I voted anyway and love this site, but I don't understand some of the voting options at all.
  • I'm disappointed that Twisted Metal didn't get a goty nomination. For those that play love it to death. So much fun with co-op or competitive multiplayer with the satisfaction of seeing your plan result in a victory is priceless. Nuke mode is my favorite to play. To bad everyone slept on it. Yes I'm still upset at the shrinking of the campaign characters endings and no dlc but multiplayer is so wild unpredictable and fun most importantly. My pick for dlc of the year should only be two choices steam or PS+. The match has been lit...
