The lights are on
The gaming world is eagerly awaiting Rockstar's return to San Andreas, so the Replay crew decided to take a trip back to 2004's massive GTA title. Playing as Carl "CJ" Johnson, this entry in the acclaimed series was one of the most ambitious games on the Playstation 2. Featuring three distinct cities and plenty of countryside in between, it encouraged plenty of exploration in its sprawling world. How does Rockstar's final PS2 installment fare all these years later?
Watch below to see Andrew Reiner, Matt Bertz, Kyle Hilliard, and myself take a trip back to the early 90s.

I need to replay this before GTA V comes out.
Yay Reiner is back! Also glad to have Matt Bertz on a Replay, and Dan is... hrmm, yeah.
Glad to see some nostalgia for San Andreas, I really liked the game, but it set the precedent that I won't try to completionist absurd amounts of side activities. At a certain point in my first play through I just got tired of it and rushed to beat the game and be done with it.
Now that is a tiny drunken plane.
How do you get Axl to do anything without getting sued?
I love this game and I think James Woods Mike Tarino is the greatest side character in video game history. But screw Zero's stupid remote controlled airplane missions. David Cross as Zero is cool though.
One of the best games of all time
Gotta love San Andreas.
Jetpack. That is all.
Where is it on youtube???
I sank countless hours into both GTA III and Vice City back in my PS2 days. Despite his lack of personality, I'd have to say Claude from III is my favorite protagonist (with Tommy Verceti and Niko Bellic tied for a close second).
I never got around to playing San Andreas but I loved the hell out of GTA IV and I'm pretty excited for V.
Great idea for Replay!
