Weekend Warrior 11/16/12

by Mike Mahardy on Nov 16, 2012 at 01:00 PM

December is drawing near, so we're all trying to cram in as many of the great games we missed before 2013 rolls around. Halo 4, XCOM, Persona 4 Golden, Dishonored, and advance copies of Far Cry 3 are all at the top of the list. AHL games and car stereos will be second tier priorities.

Ben Hanson: This weekend I'm going back to XCOM. After failing twice and a negative outlook on my third Ironman game, I needed to take a break. Now I'm back at it and determined to kick alien butt or something stupid like that. Also, I'll be checking out the 3DS version of Epic Mickey ahead of time. It has been one of my most anticipated games of the year, and I'm very curious to check it out.

Jason Pfitzer: Getting my old stereo in my car swapped out for a phat beat-blasting new one. Should help make the commute to work more tolerable. In other news, I'll be spending a large majority of the weekend playing around with the new League of Legends Season 3 changes on the Public Beta Environment (PBE) server. So many new things to learn!

Kimberley Wallace: Since the NHL can’t get its act together, I’ve decided to go to an AHL game this weekend. The Blackhawks’ farm team, the Ice Hogs, are facing off against the Wild’s Aeros. I need to get my hockey fix somewhere. Gaming wise, I’m alternating between Assassin’s Creed III and Sleeping Dogs. I’m enjoying the latter a bit more. Netflix sent me Moonrise Kingdom and The Amazing Spiderman, so that’s also in my plans.  But mostly, I’m looking forward to sleep! My Persona 4 Golden addiction got the best of me this month, and I mean that in the best way possible.

Jeff M: This weekend I’ll be trying to finish up my GOTY contenders, which means playing more Dishonored, Far Cry 3, and Halo 4. I’d also like to blast through The Walking Dead: Episode 4, in order to be ready for next week’s season finale. So many great games, so little time!

Mike Mahardy: I’ll be playing more Halo 4 this weekend, along with Resident Evil Revelations. Both are awesome, so I’m enjoying swapping between the two. I might start a Classic Iron Man playthrough in XCOM as well, if I can muster up the courage that is.

Kyle Hilliard: I think we can all be honest here. I have Assassin's Creed III, Borderlands 2, Assassin's Creed III: Liberation, Resident Evil 6, and a ton of other games sitting in my queue, but I am just going to play Halo 4. I can't help it.
