Spoiled! Dishonored

Spoiled is a recurring show that focuses on spoiling the bejeezus out of a game's ending, beginning, and everything in between. We are particularly intrigued by games with multiple endings, and Dishonored's chaos "morality" system beautifully branches the possible outcomes for Corvo. Game Informer's Joe Juba, Kyle Hilliard, and editor-in-chief Andy McNamara had different experiences in the game and were eager to talk about them.

Watch the video below to hear their thoughts on the endings, where the story fell short, and where they would like to see the world expanded in a hypothetical sequel.

  • This game was great, but the ending was disappointing.
  • I was honestly surprised by the betrayal, I expected the Outsider to have some ulterior motive. Turns out he just wants to see what happens. I loved the game, I hope it gets a sequel and I look forward to the DLC.

  • Predictions Corvo (Murder defense only from Idiocracy) will get dork of the year because the rookie from ODST says so.

Other predictions, Mass Effect 3 gets Game of the year. Here's why. Big win for gay rights (My favorite characters are Jane Shepard, Liara, and finally Traynor.) Secondly, the ending was spectacular, even downright genius, because you know you have to think about it and stuff. Finally, Multiplayer received *FREE* DLC. I don't know about you but I call that a winner in my book.
  • Heard so much about this game. Is it really worth the purchase? And by that, it must have at least a replay value.
  • Cool ending, but I thought it could have been more drawn out.
  • I would watch it because it has Andy in it, and it's an episode of Spoiled!, but I need to finish the game first.

  • I just couldn't get into this game.   The characters and the narrative just weren't strong enough to hold my interests, but I did enjoy the gameplay.

  • right after i traded it in, i learn about multiple endings

  • I don't think you mentioned this in the video: did all three of you miss whose body The Heart came from?
  • Why the hell was there a denchers commercial before the video?

  • Oh perfect. I looked at the site minutes after beating Dishonored. I am the master of timing.

  • cant even get through the first mission without accidentally killing someone lmao redoing it now

  • Is that a naked snake statue behind Joe Jubba's head??? I have to break in and steal it :)
  • I think I'm more surprised none of the three of them saw that right after saving Emily there's a picture she draws for you that has you and "daddy" written under you.
  • I just could not get into Dishonored. Tried playing and quit after an hour. The graphics absolutely horrid on PC. The story and characters are not interesting at all. Why do I care about this girl that I have spent literally 1 minute with? The controls are pretty bad, why is it when he sprints it's like he's running in molasses? Why punish the player for killing and having fun? Highly overrated game IMO. I've played pretty much every major release in the last 5 years and the reviews Dishonored gets are not warranted.
  • huh... that was interesting. Nice to finally see Andy getting in on more stuff.

  • Loved this game finally finished my clean hands (no kills no alerts) pay through.  It was tough and awesome.  I love a really good stealth game and there are so many ways do get through each area that it really does pay for multiple play throughs.  I'm taking a break and playing ACIII but I'll be back for more later this winter.

  • I went on a murdering spree in this game and LOVED it!!!!  I loved game immensely.  It was a nice refreshing twist.  Am playing AC# now and can't wait to get back into Dishonored for more mayhem.

  • I think they completely missed the point of the Outsider, that being that he's simply a, God, I suppose, who wants to be entertained, not good, nor evil, he's simply bored and finding himself fascinated by the situations Corvo regularly finds himself in
