Video Preview: Why Remember Me Continues To Impress

You may not be familiar with French developer Dontnod, but you may have heard that Capcom is publishing their first game, Remember Me. You play as Nilin in Neo-Paris, a world that has characters distorting and erasing memories. Both Ben Reeves and Jeff Cork have had a chance to check out the new IP due out in May 2013, and they came away impressed.

Watch the video to hear their impressions of the game and learn how the combat system is surprisingly deep.

  • This games looks promising...

... but the title makes me die of laughter inside. If the game were to fail with critics and sales, then I would cry of laughter from the immaculate irony.
  • The God-awful acting is a major turn-off for me. That plus it looks like a mediocre mash-up of Uncharted and Arkham City. The story does sound interesting though.

  • I love these chats.

  • I loved the initial concept of the game when it was first announced, but all that I've seen of the gameplay so far sets me back a bit. I'm interested enough to check it out, but not on day one for $60.
  • somehow this instantly reminds me of that movie with Keanu Reeves by the name of Johnny Mnemonic.

  • Thanks for posting this, I am curious now about this.

  • When you power on the game it'll probably show the RE:6 logo, then erase your hard drive.
  • This is now on my radar.

  • Based on some of the gamescom footage, this game looks really cool. Cant wait to hear more about it in the coming months.

  • This looks promising, but I can see a lot going wrong with it. But I hope not, will probably end up being a rent for me

  • Mod
This is right up there with Watchdogs in terms of potentially innovative gameplay in a mainstream package. Looking forward to learning more about it.
  • I love how it seems to mix elements of Deus Ex, Mirror's Edge, and Syndicate with it's own unique formula.

  • There's some nicemusic in this video. The game looks interesting. What's with the spanish subtitles in the gameplay videos?

  • Game looks good

  • Intriguing indeed

  • Wow, that does look good. This one's really flying under the radar.

  • Cool game.

  • I'm intrigued. I look forward to learning more about it. I have this feeling they'll degrade the visuals at the last minute.
  • I've been talking about it! Just mostly to myself...It looks like a pretty great concept, and I'm interested to see where it goes. I'll happily pick it up on release.

  • Sweet, when is this game coming out?
