Replay – Chuck Rock (Guest: Frank Caliendo)

Many editors here at Game Informer grew up loving 2D platformers, and returning to the genre is always fun for a look back. We weren't the only ones ready for some Genesis action, as comedian Frank Caliendo was a huge gamer as he grew up. He was in town for a stand-up gig, so I asked him if he'd be interested in swinging by. He accepted, and he's our special guest this week on Replay.

Watch below to see Frank, Tim Turi, Andrew Reiner, myself, and Frank's numerous impressions look back at Chuck Rock.

  • GI, this is killing me. You're doing a ton of platformers, but not Crash 3.

  • Ah yea more replay

  • how the poop did you get frank caliendo? Oh that's right, he hasn't been funny for over a decade, but great guest nonetheless. He's no Aram, though, but then no one is as cool as him, Greg Moore is a close second. God he got annoying fast (frank, not the other two).
  • Have a piece of pie.

  • Had to stop 10 minutes in. Can't listen to Frank any more. This will be the first replay I will not watch all the way through.
  • Frank always did a great Madden impression.
  • Neither heard of the game nor the guy. :P
  • YouTube please!
  • I loved Morgan Freeman! You need to get him back some time :)

  • yeah... Frank Caliendo got annoying really fast. he's not even funny, all he does is talk a lot and do impersonations.
  • Great episode. Frank settles down into a nice rhythm after about 10 min in. can you get him to do some kinect games with you?
  • That was great! Frank had me in stitches with his Morgan Freeman routine.

  • Frank! Tell me who you think will win this Sunday!

  • Yay quality is no longer the only quality.

  • Yay quality is no longer the only quality.

  • I'd like to see Frank do a Dan impression.

And he totally did one around the 25 minute mark. I'm shocked Dan didn't mention anything about it.
  • Oh this one got real annoying real fast. It was super nice of Frank to stop by, but the constant impressions just really aggravated me. Really, after ten minutes, I had no desire to watch anymore.
  • I thought Frank was going to be annoying at first, and he was. He definitely found a groove towards the middle though and I ended up enjoying it.
  • That was actually really A LOT of fun! Frank really got into the groove and you all seemed to have a great time! Morgan Freeman was spot-on, also. hahaha.
