This will be a diversified weekend for the crew as we tackle just about everything. This weekend the GI staff will be participating in a 24-hour gaming marathon for charity, attempting to teach a baby how to walk, bartending, and pouring even more hours into XCOM and Pokémon.

Tim Turi: This weekend I’ll be playing games like Banjo Kazooie, Dishonored, Super Ghouls ‘n Ghosts, and Resident Evil 6 during our 24-hour long Extra Life marathon. The fun begins at 8 a.m. central on Saturday, October 20.

Jeff Marchiafava: This weekend I’ll be devoting what little game time I have to XCOM. The game terrifies me; I start every mission with feeling like my entire squad is going to be wiped out. It hasn’t happened yet, but things are getting tougher. If I need a break, I’ll probably check out the new Minecraft update. Even exploding creepers are less stressful than XCOM.

O’Dell Harmon: Well I’m over 30 hours into Pokémon Black Version 2 so I might give that a break long enough just to actually get in some XCOM or continue my replay of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Saturday you can catch me at the live stream interacting with you guys and answering questions. Sadly I will not be there the whole time because I have to go to my second job as a local bartender … who also happens to fight crime.

Bryan Vore: I've got a busy Saturday, but I'm hoping to get in some serious co-op time on Borderlands 2 on Sunday. I'm playing as a commando and shooting for the two-at-a-time turrets on the right skill tree. Still pretty early, but I think we can put in some solid time and jump a few levels. I'm also hoping to take care of the last bit of La-Mulana on WiiWare. That game is truly epic!

Mike Mahardy: This weekend I’ll be taking a break from video games…wait. Actually, I’ll be playing a 24 hour marathon to raise money for sick kids. It’s going to be live streamed from the Game Informer office, so be sure to tune in and enjoy the day with us. I’ll be playing Borderlands 2, Ratchet and Clank HD Collection, Dishonored, and maybe a Zelda or Resident Evil game. It’s going to be a fun/tiring weekend.

Ben Hanson: I'd love to dabble in some other games, but I need to be realistic and admit to myself that I will only be playing XCOM. After 16 hours I decided to restart on normal difficulty in hopes that I actually learned something through all of the blood I spilled in my previous game. I need to go revisit Mass Effect 3, but XCOM is looking like my game of the year. It's just good.

Kyle Hilliard: I finished Dishonored, so I think it’s time to get back to Darksiders II. But there is also Borderlands 2. And I want to play some more Dance Central 3. And Unfinished Swan. Honestly, I probably won’t get to any of them. The baby and I will just practice walking. I’m pretty rusty.
