The lights are on
Dead Island was one of the sleeper hits of 2011, and the developers surprised fans again with the June announcement of Dead Island: Riptide. As the fully-featured successor to the first Dead Island, the new game boasts a new environment, playable character, and more.

This sounds really awesome, I loved the first one and I can't wait for this one!
I am soooo excited for this game! I loved the first game but I found that some things were very unrewarding like the skulls for example, it took me a while to not only find the skulls but to assemble the necessary diamonds needed only to find out that the weapons weren't even that good.
I'm really happy that they are improving firearms, but I hope they really limit the ammo supply. Dead Island should stay melee focused, with backup firearms for when it gets tough.
I'm not doing anything without seeing actual gameplay.
This man looks like a fan of his own game ( what is great ) and I believe him when he says that they've improved a lot but in the end you should wait with your decision until you see what's it really like.
I hope they add cheap throwable weapons that come in packs, so i wouldnt have to constantly be looking for my favorite matchetes and katanas among piles of limbs and guts. For example, throwing darts, ninja stars, sawblads, heck even boomerangs, or makeshift ones like a frisbee with razors glued on. Yep I'm hyped for this.
yay ? im honestly not sure how I feel for this game I liked the first one and want to play this one but something tells me I might not get around to it
Can't wait for this!
I really hope that they add better character interaction like in L4D.
That was one of the few problems I had, I like how in L4D the characters talk to each other whenever they heal, revive, even shoot the teammate, they have something to say.
In Dead Island they speak but only that player can hear it, I really enjoyed the game but I think that would add a lot more immersion and create more likeable characters.
