The lights are on
The GI crew sits down with Firaxis' almost-released tactical strategy game and show off what happens when XCOM finally gets its hands on laser weapons.
Jason Oestreicher takes the sticks, Andy Reiner hosts, and Adam Biessener drops hard-earned knowledge from his dozens of hours of playtime on the game.
From the hub that collects our buckets of XCOM: Enemy Unknown stories from when we revealed it on the cover, to Adam's exhaustive writeup of the first three hours of the game, to the final word in review form, GI has all the XCOM you could possibly want. There's also the Test Chamber hub, where you can find all the episodes we've ever recorded.
Is there going to be an xbox demo?
I'll have to wait 'til Tuesday to watch this, since I wanna go into XCOM without any expectations. That said, Tuesday can't come soon enough.
I was sold when they first announced it this and the demo just made sure and made it overkill even with the lack of hype for something this awesome
Firaxis continues to impress. This game looks like a helluva good time, and the glowing review doesn't hurt much either. The biggest problem, for me, is going to be tearing myself away from Dishonored long enough to actually give this disc a spin on Tuesday.
The suspense is killing me...
this game is going to be great, but it does worry me a bit when you said that you saw some of the same maps a few times when firaxis said that there is like 80+ maps and you shouldent see the same maps a lot in one play through
I cannot wait for this game! UGH! Next Tuesday can't come soon enough.
This looks like something I've been waiting for. Love these types of strategical games. Great Test Chamber too, Adam's enthusiasm made me want to play this even more. Definitely will be grabbing this game.
Between GI's review and all the coverage, and this Test Chamber. This game just moved up to being purchased when it comes out this coming week =)
Might have to give this one a try.
Looks pretty sweet.
Awesome Test Chamber! I'm extremely pumped for this game. It looks fantastic. I had such a great time with the old XCOM games and am looking forward to hours of great gameplay with Enemy Unknown.
Just because there's an alien invasion going on, it doesn't mean that you shouldn't be Eco-conscious. XCOM won't exist if they mine the Earth of all precious resources.
Between Dishonored and XCOM: Enemy Unknown on Tuesday, I'm going to be out of cash for video games. Not a good situation to be in when Halo 4, Assassin's Creed III, and the Wii U are still coming out.
Glad this game is cool.
@megashadowzx Hey, thanks! I hope you enjoy the game as much as I do.
Wow I am so ready to get my hands on this game. I am going to be pressed for time between this game and Dishonored which both come out the same day. Im glad I got paid. Which one will I play first...hmmm...to many games not enough time. Work sucks.
