Unboxing: World Of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Collector’s Edition

Mists of Pandaria’s September 25th release date is right around the corner, so we thought we’d treat you to an unboxing of the collector’s edition.

First up, we have a massive artbook, spanning 208 pages. Plenty of scenic backdrops grace the artbook, but it also, unsurprisingly, shows off plenty of pandas.

As a complement Mists of Pandaria's atmosophere, the collector's edition also includes the soundtrack for your listening pleasure.

But what about something that you can use while you blast through the expansion? Don't worry, you're covered with a Chen Stormstout mouse pad to commemorate the experience.

The set also includes a behind the scenes DVD and Blu-ray combo, where you can get a glimpse into the development process of Mists of Pandaria.

Above is the set in its entirety, the edition also includes some exclusive in-game content, such as the Imperial Quilin mount and Lucky Quilin Cub pet, Starcraft II portraits, and a Diablo III banner sigil and accent (it even features World of Warcraft's newest playable race).

The set costs $79.99. If you like what you see, there's still time to get that pre-order in. How excited are you for Mists of Pandaria?

  • Sounds beuno.

  • always wanted to get into this just to see what the deal was, but i dont have a very good PC at all, and the free trial failed to catch much of my interest...

  • it's time for WoW to go quietly into the night, it had a long run, but it's time has passed.

  • That's an awesome set for only $80. I wonder if this is gonna bring more fans back to WoW.

  • Sorry, double post.
  • That's some serious treasure. But is it worth the extra coin?

  • I'm excited for the lobster people expansion 'Lobstaria'

  • Mine's currently in the trusted hands of the postal services!

  • I preordered it and then got my money back, wow is kind of a dying thing... ya know?

  • It's just so..... facepalming laughable.  how the mighty have fallen.

  • The art book looks nice, glad i'm getting the collector's edition.

  • Wow people really get defensive for Panda's, and on a game at that. It's not like proceeds to the game go to protecting Panda's, so in the end you are getting defensive to an expansion of a game that's been around for over a decade. Not everyone like's Panda's, and they are allowed to express that to Blizzard, who knows full well they took a huge gamble (you don't get huge rewards if you don't take huge risks, right?) Honestly as for myself, I am done with my WoW account, tried to go back but after Cat, there's no incentive for myself, as well as the many others on here. Some people think the Panda's is cheese desperate knock off for Blizzard to draw in new people, others think they trying to cash on Disney's franchise, and others simply don't care for Panda's. Who can honestly blame them for stating all 3? People with an open mind willing to try it, can say all they want to others griping about it to not to, but then we can say the same thing to you people who love it. The truth is, negatively or positively we can give no constructive feedback until AFTER it launches. So let people have their opinions, and stop saying they are immature for it, because honestly it's immature to call someone immature; just accept the fact that some like the idea, and some don't. Come launch, sales will tell all how well it's perceived.
  • XD awesome!

  • It'd be wicked if the thing actually came with that huge bamboostick that the Panda guy has!

  • Pretty decent CE but lacking a figure to display.  One reason I loved my Diablo 3 CE is the Diablo skull + Soulstone usb figure to display.  But I love behind the scenes dvds, art books and soundtracks!

*sigh*  I'm still a fan of Blizzard and WoW still has it's allure, despite the many grievances I've had with it.  Seriously, If blizz reduced the Subscription cost or flat out dropped it, I would wholeheartedly return to playing.  Heck, I'd most likely have shelled out for this Collector's Edition.

  • So excited! :D

  • Those some vicious pandas.
