New Super Mario Bros. U might not be a radical change for the Mario series, but there are a couple of tweaks to the formula. Differing from the three other New Super Mario games, New Super Mario Bros. U features a seamless world map not seen since Super Mario World on the Super Nintendo. Watch the exclusive yet brief video below to understand how the transition between worlds will look in the new game for the Wii U.

    Man, I can't but feel that I would be 10x more excited if this were a 3D Mario game instead.

    The world transition looks great! I am SO glad that Nintendo chose to have the world transition more like Super Mario World rather than the New Super Mario Bros. series format. I can't wait for this game to be released!

    I am very excited for this game. Super Mario World is my favorite 2D Mario games, so for this game to have so many call backs to it makes me thrilled to play it. November 18th can't come soon enough!

    That's kind of weird. I don't think a desert and a frozen wasteland blend side by side in nature. Heh, but they're trying to appeal to the Mario World fans like they tried to do with Mario 3 and the last game. I'm not sure my body is ready to be convinced.

    Mario looks better than ever, and the throwback to Super Mario World adds a nice touch of nostalgia. Now if only Mario and Zelda games weren't the only ones worth getting a Nintendo console for...sure there are a few other blockbusters like Metroid and the inevitable new SSB, but all in all there just aren't many Nintendo games that tickle my fancy. Which I hate, because it means I'm gonna get the WiiU for only a very few select games -.-

    I hope all of these comments are dripping with sarcasm. This "new" super mario bros wii u is just a re-hash of the same game that was previously on the ds and then 3ds. I pity anyone who doesn't have sense enough not to spend money on this cheap copy of a game that has lost all semblance of originality.
